Do you double the zym dose dude?..........I'm thinking of re-using some coir.......I'm thinking that any plant/root matter that is left will be turned into "useful sugars and minerals" by the cannazym......therefore creating nutrient laden coir?...๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ˜‚

Ah! Know the area also lived in an art studio pico / Lincoln area. Probably before you were an idea and then also on Montana over a laundrymat. Stay dry .. this storm has been a toughie up here.

i found, and this is for my environment/medium/all that, that 15-18" from top of seedlings was the sweetspot. i started at btw 12-14" then, when saw yellow tips, moved up to 21-24" and corrected down at 1 inch intervals every 2-3 hours until i saw them regain their puffy, perky happy baby seedling look...

BTB, i have that exact model and my seedlings liked it so much i ordered another while they were still only $100 at the big bookseller in the sky.... your description of the light it puts out is spot on. i *did* get a bit of what i took to be light burn at first (newbie learning) but once i figured out the right distance it was "grow on" (like game on but different)

BTB, glad I finally got tuned into your interesting grow operation! Hope the perpetual grow setup keeps you and wife well supplied.๐Ÿ˜Š You're great with giving so many details...something that I am lacking on my threads. It will be fun to see the results of your training, since we've both have 4 armed babies to work with! ๐Ÿ’ช

It's sort of a rolling thing. If I reuse the medium from a 3 gal pot, I probably only get 1.5 gallons of medium back. Consequently, I add new coir and perlite mix on occasion. It all goes into the same container and gets blended.

As such I would say any pot I fill with my reused media has some new medium and some reused medium (potentially from several uses).

I haven't noticed any of my media get funky at all. Some of the coir just breaks down into dust but that stuff naturally gets filtered out sinking to the bottom of the 5 gal bucket. If my reused stock ever felt substandard I'd probably just add more new coir and perlite to build it up.

I've considered this but have also heard after about 2 times the reused coir starts to break down. Let me know how it holds up!

As I've noted before I re-use my coco from grow to grow.
When I cut a plant I leave the pot to dry out thoroughly (a few weeks inside at least), then I pull the stump and main root ball. I shake loose coco and perlite off into my coco storage 5 gal bucket then the rootbal and stump goes into the green recycling/compost bin I also sift through the coco in the bucket with my fingers and pull out any clumps of root matter I find. There are still stray roots etc in my medium but it's never created any problems for me. As you can probably tell I do all this in the bath tub!

While I'm here I guess I should do a journal update proper

All is going well, got some vigorous growth this week from both plants. This means I didn't mess up the top on Mystic after all and so I went ahead and topped the Bubble at the third node.

2-13-17 DAY 17 Pots still have some water weight (maybe 1/4 of full weight) but I wanted to feed and the top half of the pot was pretty dry. Did full Veg I feed, 7.1ml A+B, 7.6 Rhizo, 9.5 Cannazym, Ph'd to 6.0. I moved the light down to 20" from the canopy. Left runoff in tubs to maintain humidity. 47%/55% 73/81.

2-15-17 DAY 19 Great response to feed and Mystic top so I topped the Bubblicous at the third nodes and stripped the first node. Stripped node 1 from Mystic too. 48%/79% 72/79.

2-16-17 DAY 20 Planted Mystic 2 under Roleandro as above. Fed Veg 1 again, 6.2ph. Pinned down the fan leaves to better expose growth tips. 58%/72% 72/77

Moving forwards I think Day 16 is gonna be my target for topping autos. My plan is inspired by Green75 and Rockman -- props to you both. By topping at the 3rd node and stripping the first node I'm left with 4 growth tips that I hope will be my main 4 stems. I'm new to autos so I didn't have the confidence to strip the fans as Green does, maybe with Mystic 2...
