After this grow you got to plan how to prevent it i got this from google

(Mold spores are everywhere in the air. Mold is everywhere in our environment and begins to grow when airborne spores land in areas that remain wet constantly. Twenty-four to 48 hours after mold spores land on moisture, mold begins to grow. Any mold growing in your home is cause for concern and should be removed)

So with that being said ways to prevent it would be to start defoliating your plant more air flow i had wpm last grow and my new plan is to try and make my plant strong with a silica base supplement like armor Si / Rhino skin advanced nutrients and many other brands are out there I got this from the General Hydroponics website on armor si

Armor Si delivers the benefits of Silica and Potassium; increased plant strengthening and stress resistance leading to increases in agricultural production (yield). Beneficial in hydroponics, Coco-Coir and soilless blends, potted plants in prepared soils as well as for garden cultivation. May be used as a growth enhancer in addition to your regular fertilizers. Use mild solution for young plants, perennials, and as a foliar spray. Use full strength solution for fast growing annuals during foliar and structural growth, as well as flowering and fruit production. Silica benefits: Strengthens plants, improving plant stature which leads to advantageous exposure of leaves to light. Improves stress resistance, drought tolerance, heat and cold stress tolerance. Potassium benefits: Improves plant growth including structural and foliar growth, increases yield, improves flower and fruit production.

Silica reinforces the plant cells from the inside out, strengthening the cell walls that help the plant build thicker stems to be able to bear the weight of the buds. The thicker cell walls produce bigger stems and branches that can absorb and transport water and nutrients more efficiently, resulting in faster and more extensive growth.

When a plant is fed a soluble form of silica, the plant accumulates it around the infected spot, forming selectively fortified areas that can defend themselves against fungal infections such as mildew or powdery mildew. As a resistance measure, the plant uses silica to build up an additional mineral barrier, making it more difficult for diseases and pathogens to get inside the plant.

now it's not easy to get armor si and rhino skin where i live so i plan on trying PlantGuard from green planet I use other green planet products and their other products are good hoping it will help my plants fight off the chance of wpm you can also buy strains that are resistant to wpm as well.

Have you tried Neem oil once a week? Also Neem cake in the soil? Another thing you can try once a week is Aloe Vera once a week all foliage sprayed helps with building your plants immunity. The Neem I get is from Neemresource.com about the best quality you can get anywhere. Also one more thing I have heard works is using 1tabkespoon per gallon of water of BakingSoda it doesn’t matter what brand it just has to be fresh. This is for veg stage I wouldn’t spray any of this during flower.

I've recently looked at Zerotol 2.0. Something that jumped out at me was the recommendation for the use of a surfactant. I noticed when I had previously used lost coast and others it looked like the treatment did not soak the mildew affected areas like it did unaffected areas of the plant. A surfactant would help remedy this. Any experiences anyone?

Go to buildasoil.com on the blog page the owner talks about surfactants. Why and how they work. Plus a lot of great info. I think that’s your best bet in getting the best answer by experienced growers that have used a surfactant

https://www.agriculturesolutions.com...ng-agent-32-oz This sounds like what I was looking for. Apparently I'm not the first one to see a need for this stuff. There are a number of different brands of wetting agents and the post by cali above has a link to make your own. I'm going to pick some up and I'll post the results.

smoorman yes there are many products. I think that’s an issue guys are having using Neem oil and having bad results, they are not using a surfactant so that the oil sticks to the leafs. Or anything not just Neem. I use Aritha Nuts aka soap nuts. You can find them at any Indian market, I boil water (16oz) and break up the soap nut shells about 1/4 cup worth and I let it steep over night then I take the solution and it’s enough to make 5 gallons. Let the shells completely dry and doit again more than 2 times. Soap nuts are a great werting agent sticks to your leafs and will help in pest prevention and the best part they are cheap. Mountain Rose Herbs where I got my last bag.

So I stopped at the local grow store and apparently I'm the only person in MI that doesn't know about adding a surfactant or wetting agent to foliar sprays. It's not unusual to see people loading pallets of coco bails onto their pickups in this neck of the woods. I would expect them to be a bit more savvy than I. lol. One guy even agreed with me that a drop of dishwashing soap like dawn would probably work as well. Anyways I ended up buying "Nectar for the gods Hygeia hydration yucca extract". I added it to the Monterey garden insect spray (spinosad) and applied. It definitely helps to wet the surface and evenly coat the leaves. We'll see how it works. I'll be adding it to my WPM preventive treatment and see how that goes.

smoorman yws soap does work. Dr.Bronner is one that has been used a lot by cannabis growers. Peppermint scent for no particular reason just the most used. I just use soap nuts.

smoorman , I will take your direction and use a plant based dish soap with the Spinasad and spray the few that I haven't had to destroy. What ratio dish soap to water? And when should I then apply the spinosad?

The spinosad is for the bugs. All of the discussed remedies for WPM will benefit from using a surfactant. Also known as a wetting agent. Apple cider vinegar, peroxide and water and all other commercial formulas for WPM will benefit from a wetting agent. Fill a glass of water and look at the edge where it meets the glass. That little curve around the edge is caused by surface tension and is called a meniscus. Then add a drop of dish soap in there and slightly stir. No bubbles or anything and you will notice the meniscus is much smaller. Try that with plain + soap water and pour on plants then do the same with plain water no soap. In an emergency you could probably use just a little soap to make whatever mildew killer you choose to be more effective. I used my lost coast WPM killer as mentioned here on the website under trouble shooting and I noticed that it stayed on the plant much better after adding a wetting agent. Before it would bead up and roll off. And it would especially bead up on the WPM.

Remember, you can sort of disinfect buds with a thorough h2o2 bath and rinse after you cut them. Anybody else please chime in.
If you do use dish soap you won't need much. 2 drops per cup or so.

smoorman , I did just Harvest 4 photos and we did the bud wash. They look fine. But in the other room, I had to destroy 6 plants. And the other three that are in there I think are on their way out as well. That said, I could get the West Coast wpm killer or whatever it is that you said I'll have to go back and look and your posts, but if I mix up a gallon of water with dish soap as a surfactant how much dish soap per gallon of water? Also I am planning on setting off mold bombs in both rooms once they are empty and I have cleaned them as well as I can. I know that the spores of PM have gotten into everything. The fans and air conditioner, the room Hydro Foggers, as well as every thing else up there. Has anyone ever tried to use a bomb to eradicate spores and a grill room without the plants of course.?
