There were 5 in total, all passed. Do you think it will become legal on a federal level at some point? and are there steps being taken to get that? Or could that only happen once all states are legal?3'x3'x6' Secret Jardin grow tent

It is in the works for the feds to get out of the way, my thought is it wont happen until they tax it, and the more states that get on board the faster it will happen.
I hope they also put in when it is to take affect! My state is known to set on things they did not want but were out voted on. It took about 2 years to get real bear on the shelf after it passed.

Once the right corporations and Pharma companies are positioned, it will go federally legal..... I'm cynical, but probably correct.Originally posted by buds73 View PostThere were 5 in total, all passed. The banks won't touch the money because banks are federally insured. Pot and the money from the businesses are still federally illegal and this is why banks won't / can't touch it. If they do, they stand the risk to be shutdown and a massive forfeiture of money. Some state based credit unions will work with companies, some banks are starting to as well, but you have to have like 3 layers between your pot business and the name on the account.

It's pretty stupid and has made dispensaries an early target for thefts. A store can easily sell $20k a day, and its an all cash businesss, because the federally insured credit card companies and bank debit cards can't be accepted.... there is one processor who will but like you said, they pay a silly rate to be able to do that, cuts into profit margins. So yeah, making these cash only businesses without the ability to bank is moronic and dangerous. Sadly, with no checking account, you can't write a check to pay your taxes. Th state had to spend a lot of money to purchase cash counting equipment to process tax payments from these companies....This industry is likely the largest contributor of tax dollars in the state, I know for certain in some small towns..... Which is why they have been ruled essential during Lockdowns.... Got to have the tax dollars. There are many aspects that will make you say hmmm.

Now that Biden is President, I hope one of the first things he does in office is to remove cannabis from the CSA.
The current schedule I classification prohibits pain management doctors from prescribing pain meds to patients who test positive for cannabis use.
The ideal situation would be to remove cannabis from the CSA and treat it like alcohol. At worst, rescheduling to a different class would allow concurrent access.
That would allow patients like myself that would benefit from using cannabis as an adjunct with narcotic(opiate) pain management.
I've been struggling with this for almost 10 years now and have experienced the extremes of respiratory depression/arrest from opiates to not being able to function because of limited relief from cannabis.
Just sayin' that it would be nice to pop a codeine tab with my edible.WHAT???

MeEasy ILL-inois here. I have one dr to certify the mmj card, one to write benzos (muscle relaxer), and one that gave me back a pain patch. It all started changing 3-4 years ago. Not sure how my card re-cert will go next summer, I got a freebie year during the shutdown. I would've bought a 3-yr card last year but I didn't have the funds.
