    New Baby

this is my new plan I was wondering if anybody could help me determine whether it is male or female yet if not what I need to do and also the bottom three leaves are yellowish color

Not from that picture. They will show sex (when they are ready) at the sides of the stems where new shoots are coming off.

A whole plant picture would also help answer the question about the bottom leaves.

Look at the stipules if they make an X it's probably a female. That's the only way I know of to tell sex before they start flowers it is not 100% accurate but it will give you an idea

I'm gonna call bro science on that one. Anything falls into a certain percentage but not a single farmer I know or have ever talked to has mentioned that as a determining factor. I know some pretty smart people.

If you keep a plant in veg for 7-8 weeks, it will usually start to show pre flowers around the 7th node or higher. Aside from that, take a clone and sex it while your main plant continues to grow. That or order one of the sex testing kits available in the States. The chromosome for that trait has been mapped and with enough money, detection can happen as soon as there is leaf tissue to test.

Guess you have heard of it now.
Edit = even pretty smart people don't know everything they just claim to

Learn how to find tiny pre-flowers at the base of each leaf to determine the sex of your plant in the vegetative stage (at only 3-6 weeks from germination)!

Here is a screenshot of where I read about it. It's a post from the lady who is co founder of this website NebulaHaze maybe she is spreading bro science as well. Also the link that I added before where I got the picture above if you click on the blue writing "what is the purpose of stipules" it will take you to her actual post. I would never post something on here that I didn't believe to be accurate and in some way could help someone. I'm sure I'll be wrong from time to time and when I am I will apologize. I'll be around to have a coffee with you sorry I don't drink. 🌲😎

Brilliant, I actually don't drink either. Coffee it will be Thank you for the links, I too am always open to and hoping to expand my knowledge. Reading those links, she says -

"I had no idea the answer to this so I actually spent some time researching this today! What I found is that stipules can take many forms on different types of plants, but we don't fully understand them all.

Unfortunately, I couldn't really find a solid answer. The best guess from what I've read is that it may act as protection for the bud site until pre-flowers form"

-- So I wouldn't exactly bank on that feature for determining sex but it sure as heck would be interesting to see what percentage of the time it is accurate. Seems like she based her statement off of her own experience but doesn't provide support for the theory from elsewhere. Cheers for the conversation.
