That's a hermaphrodite plant you have my friend. It's been pollinated post flower or stressed. Most common causes are heat stress and interrupted dark cycles. Even just a minute of light during the dark cycle can turn a lady into a lady boy.

You'll still have buds. Just seedy buds. The only reason Hermes suck is because there is a loss of energy from the plant to create seeds instead of strictly buds.

I actually have a lady that's got a few noticeable seeds in it and it looks like it's going to be one of my highest yielders. I've heard a lot of people say that the buds will be smaller because of the energy put into ripening the seeds, but I really haven't been able to tell. Damn hermes got a few of my girls this time. Should be some interesting crosses though when I decide to grow them.

Only ways to get seeds I know of is stress, which may mean feminized, or it was pollinated somehow. If you are outdoors and someone within roughly a two mile radius has a male and you are downwind just once, you'll have seeds. Only thing you can really do is finish her out and hope for minimal seeds. I grow outdoors and so far every year I've had at least a few seeds so I almost venture to call it normal, and a few seeds here and there aren't really going to destroy your crop. If you had a male in full bloom in your own garden then you would probably have the seediest weed of your life. I treasure a few good seeds that come out of a tasty bud, it means different genetics for me to grow and experience.

Yea but I see soo many calyxes all over the plant does it mean in every each one there is an seed. And yes there is big possibility male pollinated. But also maybe interrupted darkness I wouldn't be surprised

No, dont pluck the calyx, they make up the body of the bud. That's not a herm plant!

Seeded bud can still be VERY potent, seeds may pull a little potency from it, but not much if it's only a few seeds. Grind up your finished buds good and pull the seeds as you find them. I'm smoking my seedy stuff from last year ( 10-20 seeds per pound) and stay in a good frame of mind as a 20+ year smoker.

Pick one more random calyx, open it up and look for a seed. If it's common enough to find two seeds in two calyx then try a third. If you get three in a row, maybe time to panic, if you dont find #2, dont freak out so bad, she probably isnt that heavily pollinated.

Ive found 4 seeds in 7 calyxes. But some calyxes are thin as they will yet produce seed. There is pretty big amount of calyxes. So where 4 5 I. 1 bud

Can you see dark tissue next to calyx it looks like rot

When you water are you soaking the plant itself or watering the soil?

I used to water the leaves before when it was really hot than shake water off

I'd still finish her out, water the soil only from here on out, moisture will trap in buds and rot them out. Even if you do end up with 100 seeds, you'll still have smokable bud, and potentially 100 plants in future times.

Okay. I hoped for good quality bud considering size and strain. Now that I can expect 100 of seeds. It gets me worried

Not trying to worry you, hope for the best and expect to worst. Could have been a male and served no benefit at all!

Okay I just had further inspection and I guess I have some kinda of better news. I found some buds that have 0 seeds like empty calyxes. So like every third calyx is fat seed and others are like empty calyxes

Good to grow my friend, carry on! Consider your seeds little blessings and enjoy her smoke when she is done.

If you’re growing outdoors and all of your plants are female then there could have been a male plant grown near by. A stressful event could cause a few seeds. I also have another theory; it’s natural for a plant to reproduce. Over the years, I occasionally get a seed or two even growing from strict clones indoors from my own mothers. I chalk it up to Mother Nature trying to get the plant to revert back to it’s natural reproductive cycle.

Interesting thread. I have read that one seed will form from one pollen spore. I have been selectively pollinating plants for many years. I will pick a few lower branches, isolate them best I can and dab pollen on some of the flowers with an artist's brush. Occasionally I will have a seed or two in other spots because I don't have a NASA clean room to do it in but for the most part the rest of the plant is unaffected. Seeds are ridiculously expensive so when I can grow my own without spoiling the entire product I call that a win. I read a lot on GWE about hermies but in 40+ years of growing I have never had one go Y chromosome on me.

Thanks for reply. Yea I don't know I'm rly stressed out these 2 days. Because I hoped for few seeds and that's all. I inspected whole plant and havent found any pollen sacs. So what I can think off is interrupted darkness or male nearby. This is my first and only plant so I'm not really happy. Only thing that pushes me forward is big size of white hairs.

Funny- my last & next 2 grows will be FOR seed. I'm smoking seeded buds right now & there ain't a damn thing wrong with em.

Back in the day we didn't like seed in our weed, not because it was weak weed, but because nobody wanted to pay for the added weight that seed would bring to an ounce.
