SOIL Outdoor plant is unusally droopy during the day

    Hey everyone,

First time grower and first post, I decided to grow an outdoor plant in a 5 to 6 Gallon pot in soil. Im not sure about the plants genetics, my buddy gave me the seed a while ago. its been growing pretty well, but its been a little more droopy throughout the day than it was before. ive been careful not to overwater the plant, and the leaves look healthy overall. its been receiving a pretty stiff breeze in the past weeks, enough to rustle the entire plant but there no visible damage. Does it look healthy to you guys? should I worry?

    Pretty colors.
Does it perk up again when you water ? Or is there no difference??
Are you monitoring the PH levels ?
Just because people are over 50 doesn’t mean they know everything.
You can teach a old dog new tricks - But it will still think the old ways are the “best” lol

Looks like your roots are getting to hot. Try to shade just the pot.

They look hot and thirsty. If they are draining well then you should be able to give plenty of water. Sometimes when you don't water heavy enough you develop channels that the water travels leaving a portion of the soil dry and it gets worse over time. Try giving it a thorough drench and see if it perks up.

Ph is key when growing the devils lettuce. Cant imaging trying a grow without one. Doubt I'd get too far. Jm2c

I have her a good drench, and she is looking a bit more perky. Should the stems and leaves be pretty much horizontal? Could the plant be stressed from being exposed to strong gusts of wind constantly?

Yes if it's hot and dry all day long out there move into shade for the hottest time of day. Don't always think it lack of water she's protecting herself from the heat by drooping and loosing hydration out of leaf.
