Was wondering if I put my photos on a 10-2-10-2 for a 24 hr cycle would they still stay flowering. If so, then they would be receiving a total of 20 hrs of light in a 24 hr. Period instead of 12 hrs in a 24 hr. Period if on a 12-12 cycle. Any ideas or thoughts?

Never tried it and probably never will. Plants evolved on this planet on a specific light schedule and giving it a wacky lighting schedule will only stress it. Why fix what aint broke? I'm sure if it really was a thing that it would be the standard, not the current 18/6 and 12/12. Best to keep it simple. The only exception is ruderalis varieties as they have adapted to not be dependent on a light schedule for flowering.
And yes your plants will probably re-veg if they are photo's and flowering.

Cannabis needs 12 hours of continuous darkness indoors to maintain flowering. You can play with the lights on time and give more darkness to save electricity but giving more than 12 hours of light indoors during flower is a recipe for problems.Failure is an opportunity for improvement!!
