Bring on the bugs

All it has to do is sit there crucialbunny . On the ground. Under the canopy. Audrey II doesn't like direct sun so she will need shade. I'm going to figure out a way to put this at soil level when the plants grow.
Here's the thing: I don't have bugs. Never have had much of an issue. Today, my soil got mixed for first transplant to gallon pots. There's a cup of (food grade) diatomaceous earth in each pot and all the mixed soil will be sitting out to dry for 3-4 weeks to dry. So, Audrey might sit on my dresser, next to a few ficas trees I've brought up from pups. They seem to have the bug issues.
If all else fails, I'll go grab a handful of soil from the asparagus fern on the patio. That sh t is lousy with gnats.C'mon, mule!

You are a soulful folk, AccidentalGardener They are not lonely. The little pot is full of maws. It's like a little chorus of bug suckers. If you listen real close you might hear them singing.
Without bugs, Aubrey II won't survive. It would be a shame to starve her. I might have to hand feed if she can't get what she needs.
C'mon, mule!
