    Way ahead of schedule

Here a pic of my trichomes. Normally I would have already harvested at this point. The problem is, I’m only halfway through week 6. I’ve never encountered a strain that finishes this early. Only a few tops that are starting to show their purple hues are doing this. I don’t want to harvest till week 8, because they still have some weight they need to put on.

what do you guys think? I also can’t cut these tops because I won’t have anywhere to dry them since I use my same tent to dry in.

Hey SommerVirelli What kind of seeds are you growing? Regular, feminized, or autofem? How long did you veg and why did you decide to flip to 12/12?

You'll get a lot of opinions about your trichs. Percentages. Reasons to or not to harvest. Don't listen to them. If you like the way your trichs have looked in the past, that's the way you should harvest.

Is this the sugar Leaf you got the picture on ?

but I have a grow right now in week 6,5 bloom, and I have amber trichomes too. I’m harvesting in the end of week 7.
Just because people are over 50 doesn’t mean they know everything.
You can teach a old dog new tricks - But it will still think the old ways are the “best” lol

yeah it’s a sugar leaf from the top. There are maybe 5 or 6 tops with sugar leaves just covered like this. The rest of the crop are on schedule, being around 50% cloudy still. It’s just strange. I might have to chop at week 7 lol

The flowers looks mostly cloudy with a few amber on the flowers with the amber sugar leaves. I’ll probably let them go and if the rest of the tent see amber by the end of week 7 I’ll probably give the chop.

It’s the flowers trichomes you should look after. Got any amber on the flower itself?

Getting there. Flowers are mostly cloudy now. I saw maybe one or two individual amber heads poking thru.

Gingerbeard for you. Four fem seeds. Early Lemon Berry R1 from Ethos seeds. Veg time was 7 weeks. Under a HLG550R that I built myself. The usual run for me. The context of the thread was opinions on what everyone else would do if they found tops covered in amber trichomes in just week 6.

Early Lemon Berry R1 by ETHOS Genetics strain and weed information. Cannabis grow journals, strain reviews by home growers, harvests and trip reports.

Page one of this says it's a 7 week flower time.

IlThe breeders from Ethos has 8 weeks stamped on the package. It’s “been bred for earlier harvests” as it says. I’ve never seen a breeder actually say it’s an early finisher and actually mean it lol.

To my eye these need 2-3 more weeks. What a swell looking crop, it'd be a shame to harvest early and screw up what might have been. You can't go by breeders timelines, every plant is different. They tell you minimum time under ideal conditions. It doesn't matter what the trics. on the sugar leafs say, get a good scope and drill down in the bud to see whats what. Toss the calendar and read the plant.

Aye. My thoughts exactly. I’d hate to miss out on the swell. I’m just gonna have to look at each of the plants carefully for the next week or so.
