Toping advice and flower stage. Need advice

Hi guys i just transplanted they loock good no stress. They have 4 weeks without 3 days. The question is in 1 week can i go for flower? i don t want big plants i don t have so much space. I hear they grow triple in flower stage. So i want to try some topping and training. They are my first plants. And i m happy how they loock. So i can topping now or need to w8 1 3 more weeks? Thx guys love you all

They can triple in height but usually dont. I just tell people that they can triple because most new growers dont think about it stretching. That said it's better to plan for more stretch than too little IMO.

Disclaimer said, topping is usually best done when the plant has at least 5 nodes as it is healthy enough for it to not really stunt the plant. Not that it cant be done earlier, just that they rebound quicker if you wait that long. I cant really tell how many nodes so i'll let you use your judgement. It is getting close to the time i would top and lst for a manifold. Check out these links for better and more detailed explenations.

Low Stress Training is like bonsai for cannabis plants. Plants are trained to grow flat and wide, which forces them to produce many big buds instead of just one or two. As a result, LST gives you bigger yields without changing your setup!

Unless you are seriously short on height space, you need to wait. Those are really young. You can flip now but you'll just have the one terminal bud and the smalls on the side. Top/fim it, wait a week or so, top/fim again. The stretch after flip for me has never been triple size, way closer to double and sometimes not even double. Very strain/environment dependent.

One thing I see that will seriously limit your yield will be your lighting(or lack of it).
Those cfl's barely supplied enough photons of light for vegging(that contributes to small size).
The plant is happiest if you're able to provide at least 600 PPFD across the canopy.
That needs at least 30 watts/ sq ft of canopy using top-tier diodes.
Older, less efficient sources like cfl, hps, and blurple leds need at least 50 watts/ sq ft.
        WHAT???
        5x5 grow space
        900w of Vero's and F-strips
        4-17gal totes self-made UC system.

when I top its to a node that has over a quarter inch of new growth then it does not slow the plant down ,no scientific facts on that but plenty of experience lol
