      Hi GWE,

quick update - they're all putting on more growth and pistills. Can't get rid of the discoloured leaves(as mentioned before I cannot buy any fertiliser so trying to make do with what i can find). Although they're in flowering now could it still be nitrogen dificiency?

Another question - the 2 older ones (darker green leaves and taller) hardly smell at all (I don't know the strain)
but the 2 lemon haze CBD autos smell delicious.

Is it normal to have such a difference between 2 strains esp as the taller ones are older (by a week or so)

Many thanks for any advice/ comments. Have a great day.

Go back to your garden and get some black soil...top dress your pot with it and water it with water that you also soaked in other soil and drain water out of ...like a slurry...pour that on your top dress...

Thanks Green, i'll locate some black soil. What's the diagnosis for them please? Is it more or less all the nutrients?

          Thanks a million

They look great..the top dress will aid in adding natural nutrients...May end up having to water them with soaked slurry water for now on...see how the first round goes...

              cool,

just poked around the garden and the soil is mostly same as what i'm using, now i'll carry on trying to find what i need but my compost that i started in December is also out there - could i seperate and use the more mature. I've been avoiding using it for fear of pests so far but if i dry it and then soak it that could work?

              Thanks again (very much)

Yes it's the same but it's nutes are not depleated yet...that's why you will have to water with water that's been soaking in a bucket of that soil..

by the by thanks for the "they look great" - the sun here is great and anytime I can get them outside I can almost see them growing, 28 degrees today in the sun.

Also, i've been burying banana skins and orange peel before watering to try to keep potassium topped up.

                evening all,

just a wee catch up - I've dressed and watered with the best soil i could find.... thanks again Green for the advice. They're all getting bigger and even the small/ later 2 are showing pistills.

However the drama is we're running low on the RSO and need to plan what to do next.

I've got a couple of question about times to harvest (i am a newbie to all this), the smaller 2 (3 photos below) had estimated flower times of 7 weeks, and veg estimate of 3-4 weeks and were planted 2nd week of December.

Following this estimate I was hoping to harvest around the end of Feb then dry and cure as quick as possible. Looking at them they're nowhere near being ready. I guess estimated times from the seller are 1. optimistic and 2. given for optimal growing conditions - which we do not have here, so it'll be a few weeks extra.

So....Oh mighty sages of GWE - how long do you think they have before they might be ready to harvest?

Thank you kindly and wishing you a jolly pleasant day/evening.

Yes most breeders advertise their times based on the earliest start of the harvest window which isn't very realistic but then environmental factors also have to be taken into consideration.

i get the feeling i've asked a "how long is a piece of string" type question - time to harvest relies on how much light they get? Mine are under 2 inadequate CFLs and as much daylight as the weather can provide (sunny this avo and 18degrees)

As ever thank you very much Green! A month then about 2 weeks to dry/cure - we can plan to spin the oil out for 7 weeks more.

I'll have to get back onto the harvesting tutorial pages although it's the drying/curing which stresses me more.

Hello GWE, been away for about 3 weeks - very busy over here. Anyways here's an update on the girls - I have a feeling they're progressing kind of slowly (your opinions please.....) it's a stress as we have to prepare the oil soon or else our patient will run out and cancer will be untreated....

Do we think they're getting enough light? They all grew pistills without any change in the light schedule so must be autos (2 are unkonwn varieties).

Plenty of sun here though 20 degrees today.
It's killing us not being able to guess how far off harvest they are.

Very best wishes to you all

They all look pretty good except the one with the very thin leaves. Looks very stunned. Do you know what's going up?
in order to know how long til harvest you need to know how many hours the day has. Most strains will flower even under 14 hours of light. But the flowering gets really slow. Twice as much at least. So find out when the days are going to be 12 hours long and then count 10 weeks from there and there's your estimate. If you live in the northern hemisphere this may occur around august - sep

Thanks 9fingers for answering - i think they're all autos so (if i'm right and i'm not sure that i am) the light schedule shouldn't effect when they start to flower etc.

what i am most worried about is how long they're taking to get through the flowering stage - Green said at least a month when he commented in middle of Feb 3 weeks later and theyre moving on but not so fast.

I have no choice - we have to wait for them It's nature man. The stress is we're trying to treat my Mum in law who has extensive late stage cancer and if she runs out of oil the cancer doesn't get treated until these girls are ready to harvest.
                        Argh!

Am i right about autos - I know I've read it about a hundred times that changing light schedules isn't necessary for auto to enter flowering stage.. Stress making me doubt myself.

I'll bet it's the lights - we have 2 CFLs which were fine for early on - now we're relying on the sun - we're in a hot country but it's variable....
