Sorry, I didn't think to ask this in the last post! I can see that the tops on the plants are pretty close together , and as pretty as it is to look at, is this actually good? I know that most places suggest giving each cola space to fully develop, so are mine too close, and will not bulk up properly?

As long as you have low rh you will be fine...

I thought that was the whole point of the scrog net? The idea is to have a cola every 3"s or so away from each other. It looks like you have a lot of colas, not sure how effective the trellis will be.

I have used it for that, though it does have limits. The spacing is a little too big to separate every little cola, but I have spread out the extra large ones. I'll make sure to buy one online next grow so I can choose smaller spacing. I guess what I'm asking is if it would make sense to "cull" some of the colas to increase
overall yield. I do have 4 fans in the tent and every inch of the plants is getting a breeze, so the many colas doesn't make air flow an issue.

I think you should continue what you're doing now, maintain that canopy.

At this point the trellis is just for support...

      Update:

      Before - http://i.imgur.com/L9zZqHX.jpg
      After - http://i.imgur.com/To1qWzt.jpg

I just couldn't help myself. I was already going to lolipop them, so I decided to take a few of the tops off at specific points to open up space for the best dominant ones. Looking at the before, I'm missing the nice full canopy already, but I know that it's for the best in the long run.

      Here's the separation point.

Looks pretty cool, and I'm hoping I didn't waste too much energy not doing this sooner.

Lastly, here are some thick stems.

I like looking at these almost as much as the canopy.

      Upda(y 14)te:

The stretching has calmed down considerably. So much so that I'm a little disappointed even. I may have been able to get a few more inches if I had switched to hps immediately, but hey, better safe than burning my plants alive.

      http://i.imgur.com/SbeYNSkh.jpg

Noticed a few of these spots that I'm not familiar with, does anyone know what I could be lacking at the moment? I'm not terribly worried, but better to check I suppose.

buds are developing nicely across the board, bit this blackjack is phenomenal. Very far along for day 14. It's got a solid smell, and is already starting to get frosty.

Cough 1 is also budding up fairly well, only a little behind in structure, but it has no frost I could see. It is finally starting to gain a sweetish smell though!

Cough 3 is comin along much slower, being all sativa and such, but I enjoy the variety! It's getting a nice flowery scent.

          Update - Day 20:

Not really much to say at this point. Just making sure temps stay below 80 and humidity is in check. Awesome development in nugs/smell/frost (as you'll see more closely)

          http://i.imgur.com/ojTvRHF.jpg (Cough #3)

VCough #3 is a little odd. It's still even earlier in development than the other two plants, just a bunch of new white pistils, but as you'll see here they're not shooting straight out like spikes. They're more lazily and droopy. Anyone know what that could be? (side note: frosty as all heck)

All in all it still looks happy and healthy, so I won't change anything yet. I may come in with some defoliation tomorrow.

          http://i.imgur.com/aqOKNSM.jpg (Cough #1)

Here's an example of a cough #1 stalk. Pretty good stacking and size overall, even though the frost isn't quite on par with the other two, it's still okay.

Both coughs are putting on sweet scents, and cough 3 smells like straight up candy. Almost in an overly sweet/artificial way. I might be disappointed if I weren't so damn impressed haha.

          http://i.imgur.com/hqClPbz.jpg (Blackjack #1)

This plant is beautiful. It's everything I could hope cannabis to look like and more. I don't have a picture here, but the stacking is amazing and tight on her, the smell is a lovely straight up weed with some fruity undertones, and the frost is next level.

I think I made some mistakes with how aggressively I took off growth from this girl. Not that I took off too many tops, as the space has already been filled by the leftover ones and I'm thinking that that was an overall good, but my lolipopping was really high up, so much so that I doubt they can get the same yields now, even with extra energy to the top. I'm a bit disappointed that I won't get as much of my favorite plant this time around, but it's not all bad. I took 6 clones before flipping them, and two of them are healthy and happy now. I messed up a LOT while making these, but luckily now I have two healthy clones that were strong enough to survive my mistakes. Strong enough to be mothers in the future hopefully!

As you can see, the stems are very red (from not keeping them warm enough), the middle fan leaves are yellowed (heat stress from being too close to the t5s) and the tips are burnt (from not keeping them very humid while in ocean forest). I also had some stunted growth for a bit from keeping them in solo cups too long, but they're doing well now, and I hope they continue to. I do have one question actually. I use a spray bottle to keep them nice and moist. I know water ph is important at the roots, but does it matter what I spray them with? I've always ph'd the spray bottle, but now I'm wondering if I'm wasting precious ph down. Thanks for reading, and happy holidays everyone!

            Update - Day 38 (night 39)

Hi all! It's been a while since my last update, but that's just because it's been going so smoothly. I got my nutes and I finally got them dialed in. Pushed them until tip burn and then backed off. Still running gh go line with terpinator, recharge, mammoth P, floralicious, and a bit of koolbloom.

            Blackjack #1 - http://i.imgur.com/M6dXzVA.jpg
Still big and beautiful. Main stems are really chunking up, but even the sea of smaller buds are nice and thick. I see what nebula meant now when she and sirius ran blackjack. They do kinda look like spears!
Overall good bud and trich development. Here's the top of a main cola. http://i.imgur.com/FMbdwaU.jpg

            Cough #1- http://i.imgur.com/dKOrVU0.jpg
Boy was this one a sleeper favorite! I'd never really been impressed by this plant through the grow, except for its nice structure, but now it's showing me what for. The blackjack colas are thicker, but the length on these ones are just awesome, especially since the gaps are filling in nicely. Forearm length, and hopefully they fill out to forearm width haha. The trich development is still less than the others, but it's not bad at all, and the strawberry smell is setting in strong. http://i.imgur.com/Rp4SEiE.jpg

            Cough #3 - http://i.imgur.com/QWT4IqS.jpg

It's still packing on good trichs, but other than that, it's the least impressive of the bunch. Acceptable everything, but nothing really like the other two. The oddest thing about this plant is the hairs.

http://i.imgur.com/dS90IN1.jpg As you can see here, nearly 50% or so have already turned brown! None of the other plants are like this, even the branches touching cough 3#s branches with brown hairs, so I don't think it's a herming issue, as the pollen would have affected the other plants. I gave a quick sweep anyways, but didn't see anything. Any idea what's up? I'm hoping it's not giving out already, as it still has the smallest colas out of the three. As always, advice, criticisms, questions, etc. are welcome and appreciated!

              Update - day 45

Not a whole lot to say right now, but I thought a few pictures were at least in order c:

              Blackjack #1 http://i.imgur.com/HSx7q8U.jpg
Still great overall. The first picture really shows how fat the get at the base.

              Cough #1 http://i.imgur.com/JqCXtf5.jpg
This thing is a beast! gets better every day. the colas are long and really filling in now. http://i.imgur.com/OPKroKZ.jpg This plant is closest to the light, and it seems to be affecting it in a cool way. hairs on the light side are much denser in number and growth even seems to come out a little bit. I feel like I'm right on the verge of foxtailing, but this amount seems pretty cool.

              Cough #3 http://i.imgur.com/NIulymG.jpg
Still looking a little too done already for my liking, but at least she's frosty. I didn't have time tonight to check the trichs, but I'm guessing I'll start to really back off and let it yellow out, since it's still the greenest of the bunch. Still open to any suggestions on her from my question last week.

http://i.imgur.com/8At2UeR.jpg Overall they're looking good (I think/hope!). I am glad that I got 10 gals for this first run, since they've allowed me to be a little sloppy with watering times. Even with them, though, I think I've under watered these girls. Not seriously, but enough to make me notice a slight dip in development. Part of the difficulty was that I would usually check to see if it was moist an inch down, but nowadays, the roots have grown all the way to the surface of the pot and I can't check that way anymore! There are other ways to tell, namely the lifting method, and I should have gone to that immediately. I'll check trichs tonight, but does anyone have a possible estimate for them now? If not that's fine, and I'll update with microscope shots later. As always thanks for reading!

                  Update - Day 56

I've got good news and bad news. The good news is I'm not dead! The bad news is one of my plants is...The little strawberry cough that never really came in actually had hermed at some point, and its buds were just quitting. I decided to take it down immediately to not risk any more contamination. It doesn't look like it affected the other two, so that's good. The whole experience did make me less up to doing updates, so sorry for that.

                  Cough #3
                  https://i.imgur.com/a3cIrSN.jpg (seeing the seeds)

After drying, I have about 3.5 oz in the bud jars, and 2 oz of trim. The 3.5 oz of bud is inaccurate, though, since my trimming was not on point for it. All in all, I suppose if it had to be one, I'm glad it was that one. Anyways, onto the good ones!

https://i.imgur.com/3vYJ8HQ.jpg I've replaced the dead cough with my two blackjack clones, they're 3 days in, and I'm pretty excited since their mom is doing so well. This is all after doing my last major defoliation. https://i.imgur.com/D86bWI8.jpg

                  Blackjack #1

This thing is a beast! Nice fat colas, with some interesting foxtailing at the top. The 7 main colas get really nice and thick. https://i.imgur.com/p1jnMLU.jpg but there are also many many smaller ones throughout the plant. https://i.imgur.com/s84uhHh.jpg I've been feeding it more and more, but it continues to yellow out. Seems like nature just taking its course at this point, and I'm not too worried.

                  Cough #1
https://i.imgur.com/tjh70Xr.jpg This thing is also quite beast-like. Its colas aren't as thick as the blackjacks', but it has some super long ones. https://i.imgur.com/1Navcpd.jpg This thing is around a foot of pure nug!

I'm going to start fully flushing them, though I think blackjack will come down a week or so earlier than the cough. We shall not forget the lost potential of Cough #3, but I think that the two survivors will produce plenty on their own. As always, comments, suggestions, critiques, etc. are appreciated!

It's always tough to say for sure, because each plant is different, but from what I can see in the pics that seems like a good estimate to me!

Perhaps....just going to have to let the buds tell you when. Plants are looking really great. Any chance of getting some profile shots from down low so we can see the cola density through the plant. Damn great job!

I just removed, but maybe I shouldve asked first. That isn't very developped is it? No danger of me having spilled any while I pulled it out a bit hastily I hope.
