Discovered this forum a little late, but have been doing my due diligence and reading all I can. Here's my conundrum:
I have a bagseed that I germinated on Dec 2nd. No clue the strain, except that it wasn't that good, but hey, it's a free seed. This seems like a really slow growing plant. 8 weeks and it's about 24" tall, starting to bud. According to the tutorial, it's in about week 3-4. Looking at 4-8 more weeks before harvest is my guess due to its slow growth.
My struggle is that I just got my first seed order (Seedsman) and I'm dying to start with the good stuff. Stop wasting my time, electricity, water and nutrients on an unknown strain.
But in order to start the new seeds, I need to increase the temp & humidity in my tent, which will essentially create mold in the current plant, correct?
Would you go ahead and start the good seeds? What do you do with the mature plant?
FYI the bagseed was my first grow, so I don't have any "inventory" to pull from until my plants are done. I really think that once I get through the first harvest, I'll have much more patience.
