Do I need a lesson in patience? Or should I move forward?

Discovered this forum a little late, but have been doing my due diligence and reading all I can. Here's my conundrum:

I have a bagseed that I germinated on Dec 2nd. No clue the strain, except that it wasn't that good, but hey, it's a free seed. This seems like a really slow growing plant. 8 weeks and it's about 24" tall, starting to bud. According to the tutorial, it's in about week 3-4. Looking at 4-8 more weeks before harvest is my guess due to its slow growth.

My struggle is that I just got my first seed order (Seedsman) and I'm dying to start with the good stuff. Stop wasting my time, electricity, water and nutrients on an unknown strain.

But in order to start the new seeds, I need to increase the temp & humidity in my tent, which will essentially create mold in the current plant, correct?

Would you go ahead and start the good seeds? What do you do with the mature plant?

FYI the bagseed was my first grow, so I don't have any "inventory" to pull from until my plants are done. I really think that once I get through the first harvest, I'll have much more patience.

I started as a bagseeder. I grew a 4' plant from a bagseed. Purps. Indica. Sativa. You can veg bagseeds as long as you want. An 8 week old plant at 24" could be an Indica, rather than a bum seed. When you go to flower, the plant will grow more. 24" could turn into 36" before you know it.
If you plan on going 18/6 for vegging, you won't be able to flower the BS. If you have the space, keep it going. Unless your BS is an auto, ignore the hairs. It will take longer to flower than the autos you're about to drop.
    C'mon, mule!

As you get to a stage that requires some focused attention to detail, you’ll have time to read the forum and be ready to dig in. Read up on germination, lighting and nutrients..then get started

I say finish the one you're on now & keep learning. If you have somewhere to sprout & grow the next batch while the 1st finishes do it.

I agree with finishing the first seed. I made so many mistakes with my first grow and learned a lot from it. That said use this one to learn from

Yup i agree, finish this plant out...It doesnt get easier from here. The plants tend to get a little finicky once they switch over to flower. Get thru this one then you have a better grasp on your next grow.
