    Oklahoma second only to Oregon

For the amount of dispensaries per populous! And we are growing, though I have heard comments like "the market is saturated". If thats true then prices will come down! To that there is a billboard in Sapulpa that reads "$100 to $175 per Oz patients before profits" with only a phone number. (traces to Checotah). All I see near me is $250 per Oz and it can go up a bit for top shelf stuff. (not that I am in these shops all the time)
I know some of the grows are not doing well, near me a guy lost his ass so far. First harvest (barely) payed the electric bill, never mind all those new lights, advise, etc.. Another is being operated for a tax right off like his other companies (how does he do that? IDK!). Must be nice to be so rich you can loose money to not pay taxes.
I see dispensaries every where, kinda like QTs, one on every corner! Many dont last long pop up and poof!

Welcome to the legal world. I know seeing the reality of legalization and commerce wasn't like the free love and ice cream people say it's going to be, here either.

The market and its players will mature and those who will fail at business will exit. It will take a year or two.

But the freedom to have and smoke is worth it.
Nothing is foolproof for the sufficiently talented fool.

Within a 5 mile radius from my house there are 6 "dispensaries". Go another 5 miles and there are at least 20. It's the gold rush !! Just like other gold rushes most of them will not strike it rich. Running a successful business is not for the faint of heart. I wish success for them but I'm betting the prices will come down and lots of places will go under. I've been to 6 stores and purchased something each time, average maybe 75 bucks. I've been mostly disappointed. I did get some bubble hash that was good. Hell I grow better pot than they do. But I'm glad we got those "dispensaries". I get a lot of love out of good weed, grow in peace people.
      Focus and relativity.

I agree Eliot Pryor the longer I grow my own the better it becomes makes the top shelf look like " 3rd shelf " but they serve a need.

I think there are 6 in my town of less than 7,400 people.

That's part of the reason they have limits on how many dispensaries can be in each town here in Colorado, so the ones that are built will thrive. We just got recreational approved in my town and we're supposed to get at least 3 new dispensaries here. I don't see more than one or 2 surviving because I live in a small town, less than 10k I'm pretty sure. Closest one to me right now is about 45 miles away, and there's 3 within a couple miles of each other. The one I frequent has oz for $200 on the standard shelf and I think it goes up to like $350 for the top shelf. I however, look at the sale weed because it's usually just as good as the middle shelf and is only $120/oz ($102 with my military discount). They usually do that because they either have too much or they have to get rid of it faster. Matter of fact I got some GG#4 last night at 29% on the sale shelf. I can't wait until I don't have to go there at all any more, but until then I'll be getting the sales. Eventually I'd like to grow for the local dispensaries but I have a few things to work out first. They're legally required to get 70% of their weed locally so I figure they're going to need a grower. The time I need will allow me to work on techniques and quality and get everything perfected. Hoping it all works out cause that would be a kick ass job!

Thanks. That's how it started for me, for myself and friends. I just can't help but thinking bigger though, and just kept going once I started. I've already expanded probably more than I should have but I want to have plenty to smoke, make into edibles, wax, hash, pretty much whatever keeps me away from the dispensary lol

Right? Salem, OR is SATURATED!!! There are $50 OZ shelf clearing sales every 500ft around here. Old dry stuff. Then there's $20- 35 1/8s for top shelf. Watching my 1st proper grow grow I'd have to say it's all over priced.

That's the truth JDU just came from town pasted a dispensary going 50% off top shelf (dry old bud) $2 grams. We are rich compared to those places i'm so grateful.

High prices for sure! I was going to stop in Greenfield on my way back from Bradley airport until I went to the dispensary website and saw the prices (lol)...WTF happened to WAAF? At one time it was about the only rock station we could get here in the sticks on the radio.

Ya, I see a real lake of business planing, or maybe understanding of business. These go under fast, I am not in town, yet I too have multiply choices as to where to buy, like I buy, LOL!

Where I am in the south, a bunch of farmers jumped on the legal hemp wagon, but had no idea of how to take care of crops during drought. Or didn't have the technology. Everyone sees dollar signs in their eyes, and they forge blindly ahead, like the walking dead...

They're doing the same here in Southern Oregon. Only, it isn't just hemp. Idiots with money to invest think farming is like financial derivatives. They buy vineyards and beef cattle too, which are ugly when they fail, too.

Those low prices in CA is why I have bag seed to grow now, it was lightly seeded and brought more here than there. (was not worth the risk)
I miss the world market we used to have. All those fine seed coming from all over the world, with a little sample of what they grow, and some stick.
