I don't use them, they look like more expense, more spills and more work to me, not to mention shoving it into your root system and dumping all the water down a straw deep into the bottom, leaving most of the pot dry. I don't think there is anything good about them at all. -
I actually bought a pair of them, thinking I would use them when I was going on vacation for two weeks. But then I got a friend to come and water for me, and ended up not using them.
They have been sitting on my bookshelf for two years now. But now I'm curious. I think I will try one of them out on one of my soil grows.Nothing is foolproof for the sufficiently talented fool.Comment

I didn't care for em in the houseplants. It only waters a tiny spot & very slowly at that while the rest of the pot dries out.Comment

This will work. But a saturated medium will cause problems over time. Good for vacationing. Empty wine bottles will do the same thing.4x4 600w HID empty for summer

1 3x3x6 tent- used in late spring for seedlings both veggies & weed. I have 2 viparspectar 450r for that tent.
I use a t-5 & 54watt CFL for seedlings
Sometimes i use plastic sometimes i use fabric grow containers
Currently using fish/guano during veg growth & FF Grow Big 6-4-4 teens to bloom. Once i see pre-flower i switch to
Age Old Organics Bloom 5-10-5
