Define flushing. What is the context of the word being used? That is important.
After I make a feeding mistake, or notice a PH issue or overfeeding, I pour many gallons of water on the soil to “reset” the feeding/PH cycle. This helps when mistakes are made during the /feed process.
Also, during the last few weeks of the grow, I will remove the nitrogen from the diet. Essentially flushing specific nutrients out of the diet. This helps create a tastier final product.
Lastly, dumping many gallons of water on the soil to flush out all nutrients at the end of a grow is not recommended and does nothing to improve flavor at all. This type of flushing should be avoided.
