Basically the last 3 top shelf weed that I smoked have the same kinda high. Like so similar that I wouldn't know the difference. It was amnesia lemon. Royal kush. And I think Rolex OG. I may not remember the names exactly but they felt like the same. It got me thinking. If everyone is so worried about more THC then eventually the high is gonna the high of almost pure THC. All the other compounds make the high unique. The ratio of every cannabinoid and terpenes. So new strains are sacrificing the production of this molecules just to make more THC. Its just an idea. And I would like to hear what people thinks about this. I know sativas this... indicas that... but just like a general trend. Looks like nobody cares about anything but the thc%

Not true, I personally love the unique flavors. And you can breed yourself your own strain to find the high you love! That's my goal is to craft my own strain that I absolutely love!Grow and good luck

Not only the chemical makeup of your brain, but everything that the grower put into the grow, the harvest, dry and cure. I am utterly convinced right now that this is so much like gourmet cooking or craft brewing of beer: a real expert is heads and shoulders above people who simply "follow the recipe."
have a friend who has a friend who recently grew some OG Kush, which was decent, but I can tell that he doesn't put the level of care into his plants that I and folks on this forum do. It is an ART, I keep insisting. However, a lot of people out there treat it like WORK.
And I insist: never underestimate the incredible power of a proper dry and cure: that's where all of our hard work is reeeeeeeeeally going to pay off, if we do those correctly.Anyone can grow schwag. If you want to grow top shelf bud, study hard: https://www.growweedeasy.com

I have always strived to grow weed where you get off on one hit. I do that by manipulating the THC contend. You can do that by stressing the plant at certain times. Early on in the grow you can do that through LST and topping. Later on you stress her by letting her get dry to the point where the leaves are drooping. Extending the dark period before harvest. Stress is the key. But know when to let up so that you don't harm her.

Love that. I was just thinking today that maybe pulling fans off during flower would increase the trichomes due to the plant thinking something is eating on it. I was reading how the trichomes are partly to discourage animals from eating the buds & that is so cool as a defense! The more I learn about weed the more interesting it is. I've also been letting my flowering plants dry out a lot, checking them every few hours to be sure they don't get too dry. I did this partly because of recurrent drooping due to them not drying out down inside the pot in between watering but I think the slight stress is doing them good too.

Ludite breaking in here... been smoking for 50 years but is it getting to the arena of off limits skiing or scratch golf??? Love to ski and golf but never gonna be world class. Same as reefer. I know what I like but not sure if I would be a good cannabis cup judge! 🤗DIY grow space 2.5' X 3.5' X 6.5'

hey 9finger, i worry that the more things industrialize, the more that cannabis might become treated like, say, tomatoes are now. there's a book called Tomatoland that explains how, through large growers selecting for mass over and over, that we now have tomatoes that don't really taste like anything, not even, *cough*, tomatoes.
now i'm not saying that's gonna happen, but it's what i've been thinking about for a while, like you if i understand you correctly.
thanks again for starting the thread."i try to play the ball not the opponent."--Roger Federer

Remember it is still illegal when it becomes legal there will be tonnes of cannaseur strains out there!
Commercially businesses would buy the THC strains first because those WILL sell. The tastier and more mellow strains MAY sell and that is what the shops look at.Grow and good luck
