Is 600w Viperspectra LED adequate for flowering?

Hello All: I had 2 bummer grows recently and am trying to correct issues before my next attempt. On another site, and a totally unrelated subject, someone mentioned my light isn't strong enough for flowering. Whats odd is that flowering was my issue, the buds being large, but with no subsistence, smell, or trics. I'd like input as to if lighting may be the source of my woes...Thanks

Flowering with a 600w Viperspectra is fine for tent grows.
Depending on the type/strain you could easily get 6 oz a grow with 2-3 autoflowers (soil) , as long as you are not stressing the plants.

It's more about stable environment and balance than "testosterone" lights (which give off excess/unused energy as heat).

It's all bullshit - until you smoke it!

I'm doing a single plant grow in a 2x2x8 homemade grow closet( painted Arctic White) as were the 2 failures. My 1st failure I had 11 hrs light using both spectrum's, the 2nd same time length using the red only. Both were Bruce Banner. The second was the worse of the two. If anyone here is using the same light source maybe you'd share your experience. Sure is a lot of em sold.

Can you post a pic of your grow setup and the container/medium etc information- as I suspect you are out of balance with your environment.
ie: I've used the Viparspectra PAR 600 to cover a 4x4 area of a larger grow.

Hello MPH I'm not sure why your plants failed. I grow with 2 450R vipers. I use them when my seedlings are ready to use the veg. only cycle at approx. 28-36" I use that veg only light for about 6wks. I believe the true watts for both are about 400watts. After I've got the training started and I see the grow going well i'll switch both lamps on both veg&bloom never just bloom alone. I used this brand of light going on 4yrs. I started with a 3x3x6 tent with one 450 now have a 4x4x8 tent with both. I'm growing photos and autos. I'm not sure where the problem is, need lots of details on the setup if you want to explain? Sure it's not light leaks in tent? Photos run 18/6 vegging 12/12 flowering. FYI

hey PotatoHead, Yes the viperspectra 600 will work perfect in that size grow space. Veg coverage at 32" is 3x3 and flower coverage at 22" is 2.5x2.5. I am running two v/s 600 in my 3x6x6 tent and have had great success so far this year. I run veg and flower lights at all times and have a shit tonne of sticky smelly buds right now! homegrown

The blue-purple lights are never up to the task. If you want better yields I suggest more efficient equipment.
Check onto HPS, or if you can afford one... a quantum board LED.
4x4 600w HID empty for summer
3x3 400w HID with Bruce Banner and Skywalker Kush
2x2 65w Quantum Board LED with 4 mother strains
running all simultaneously for a perpetual harvests.
