Love it how the fan base is now a stand! It's not an oscillating fan, but this is the one I grabbed. It has a stand, that can be exchanged for a clip.
The Genesis Clip-On fan with attachable table-top base is an energy efficient personal fan with innovative design. The fan has dual features. It can be used as a Clip-On fan or as a table-top fan. To

If I were you, I would buy some 1/2" internal diameter hose, Cut a 2" length, slice it lengthwise. Slip that over the leg, and clamp onto that rubber tube. That would protect your leg from being marred, and crushed.

Something I've done is make an "L" shaped thing with 1x4 wood. I use "u clamps" (muffler clamps. It's like a U, with threads on each end. A flat piece goes over the end of the U, and nuts tighten that down against the muffler pipe.). I slip 1/4" or 3/8" rubber tube over the "U" bolt to protect the tent legs. I drill two holes in the "L" shaped wood thing I made. The U clamp comes from behind, over the tent leg, and through the wood from behind. The nuts tighten against the wood.). I can sit small tower fans on these ledges. Or, clamp a rotary desk fan to it.
