I've got to this stage twice now. Both times my plant whent up. The end result was a stretched grow that I ended up lollipoping. Nothing wrong with that and I'm very happy with the result. For my third grow though I am going to try and stay low at this point. My intention is to let them go up during the flowering stretch. I'm not sure what the best course of action is to achieve that result though. Following with interest.SSD

Once you get to the edge it becomes more difficult to add new bindings....can always tighten the existing ones a bit...

For the next time. Don't bend and tie until they're big enough to get as far as you need cause it's gonna make a 90 degree angle where you tie it. Another tip. Try to leave a cupple of tips right in the middle next time so there's no hole in the canopy

you switch to 12 12 when you reach the sides of the pot? i was going to let them grow up perhaps 1 foot before switchingOriginally posted by Green75 View Postkeep binding till you reach edge of pot..then time for the flip after that...

O for sure you can let them grow as big as you want...

I was just saying...don't flip till you hit the edge at least...
The taller you let them get you will get more bud for sure...also they will become more unruly with unevenness...during stretch....if height is an issue you will end up doing some supercropping....which is just fine as well...

My point is for every action you take with them there will be a reaction from them that you may or may not want...so be prepared....have a plan thought of before you do anything..

 Sorry for blabbing...

Nice plants!! Looks to me like they are ready for the flip. It's not like you will see bud growth overnight, your 8 main tips will first grow upward. If you let them grow too much before the flip, you may end up with a much lankier plant then you intended.

Does what I'm saying make sense? Not sure I explained it very well. And just my .02

Bummer, they do look like it tho, might be PoV not sure..If they are i wouldn't recommend a tall plant as most plants besides a handful of them have 2/3 in the ground and 1/3 out to balance it,i have no idea if this is the case with mj but bigger pots = bigger roots = bigger plants(including space and time to manipulate! I would try gaining a bit more space in terms of height however because if you have 30cm of pot height that leaves you with 120cm without the light so that's roughly about 30cm of veg stretch available(ive added 15cm to flower stretch in my couting) if you are using anything below 600w HID...Keep it flat if you are unsure of their reaction, better safe than burnt later on

P.S flower stretch isn't always 2x the veg size of the plant, can be more or far less depending on treatment (Training etc)!!

Good luck matie, they are looking wonderful regardless of what we want to do to them!!
