Currently drying Smallgrow RH48% 20⁰C very light breeze in room from 1 fan blowing at the ceiling, dehumidifier and AC. Trying to work out how to pop jars every day given my travel requirements for work
We wet trimmed the lot except the small stuff & the popcorn.
Have hung for drying on the netting. Only weighed 2 buds wet, will weigh all before they are jarred. I've got about 45 quart. mason jars and half a dozen larger jars. Have ordered more small jars.
Hoping I can maintain close enough to 57%RH in the jars...lets see.
Estimated if all went really well 5lb dry but it didn't all go very well so maybe 4lb. I don't think I'll know that for about 2 weeks.

Thanks. Gave it a bit over 9 weeks of flower. Was worried about mold but after wet trimming and inspecting all the buds I could have gone another week no problem I think, perhaps 2....I think it would have been at its peek then but I couldn't control temps and humidity together at the low levels I would have liked so pulled the pin.

SoOrbudgal Mrs.Bluey and myself for 2 days..also had to rearrange the room for a dry...bit of a job as the room really is a compromise and not well laid out. It needs someone who is a contortionist...Mrs.Bluey needs supervision when she enters the room as last two visits into the room one pedestal fan ended up in the netting and burnt out and previous visit dehumidifier waste ended up on the floor instead of down the drain...it's that tight.

Welp not a very impressive haul LOL gotta giggle about it I can only imagine what they may of done if i did'nt put the seeds into coco fiber cups. I've grown these before with much much better results. And i will do them again as i was gifted many of these auto seeds by a old time member here years back. He had crossed strawberry cheesecake x lemon auto haze or skunk i can't recall which but they were huge 4ft autos so either my stash is getting old ( doubt it ) or it was my mistake in putting them into those cups and then buried them in the final pot they grew in. So i don't know how much i'll get post drying but maybe a ounce off each? Tight hard nuggets very frosty and smelling like fruit an brewing coffee but i got a 66yr old nose LOL. I'm keeping the tent going replaced these with 2 OG kush autos and the outdoor photos on 18/6 till it's safe to place outdoors. Any little bit helps at this point, my last years grow cabinet is nearly gone. I picked up $2 grams of " Cereal Milk " to help tie me over and mix it into my other weed. It's great to have the freedom to grow at home.2 PhotosSmoke Ganja create Peace Respect Nature don't trash the Planet

Hey SoOrbudgal. just a quick question. I've used those cups once not for weed but for peppers. After the season I dug them up and the roots never got past the cup. Never again. Was wondering if that happened to you.
-
Yes that is what happened. The soil is moist in the pots they were in and i tried on 1 to dig it out but it fell apart i am gonna let the 2nd pot totally dry and then try an lift the roots out by the stalk. These tiny plants were very tight nodes and i had LST nearly down to the soil not too much of a stalk left when i chopped. I'll report if i can remember too once i see the root growth in the dried soil. Very wasted grow but not a wasted tent it's packed right now too packed these photos are huge got 7 in there an another waiting to go in. Began abit too soon for seed starting last month, damn it LOL

Day 21 flower, just had a haircut. Hoping for 10oz, last time I tucked during the stretch and ended up with 7 plus 1 of larf/popcorn. Didn't to any tucking during the stretch this time, hoping for a bit more yield 🤞🏼😁🤞🏼3 Photos2.5x2.5x6' tent

Whoa I can see you've been very busy filling those jars! 👌🏼
Yeah I was thinking about that too (more thinning), I'm a little worried some more serious defol might stall/lock her. Thinking of raising my light a little to compensate for the dehumidifier.
Like all newbies I bought too small a tent 🤦🏻 so it's become a personal challenge to maximise yield for the size (3x3'). I'm trying to be mindful of power consumption so it's a balancing act.. I use the 400w HPS to flower because it's more economical in the cooler months (southern hemisphere), the light doubles as a heater so I'm only using 400w + fans during day and my little 500w oil radiator on temp controller when lights off. I usually place the dehumidifier below the oscillating fan so the dried air gets pulled into it and dispersed over the canopy. Might try ducting it into a diffuser at floor level where it's a bit cooler, so the warmed dry air is pushed up and into the canopy by the little lower fans and see how that goes..
Hard to find a little A/C that'll fit in my tent, need to convince the other half to let me upgrade 😄Last edited by transcend; 05-06-2023, 04:29 PM.

I have the same space constraints and also started with a 3x3 tent. I was able to upgrade to an Amazon 3x4 2 in 1 tent and removed the wall between chambers. It’s really helped allow space for equipment. I cram in a small dehumidifier, oil rad, and humidifier (gets dry here in winter) in that extra foot, and plants in the 3x3
I just wish I could have found something taller than 6’
I have already pulled a 1+ lb harvest, so it’s capable of good yields. I think as my skills improve I can increase that.

First jarring of lower flower after 2 weeks of very slow drying and small buds from plants 1 & 2 after 7 days normal drying and popcorn from screens. Medium and large buds not ready yet.
153.6grams or 5.42oz
Edit. Drying room started at 46%RH average and 20⁰C and slowly raised RH and lowered temps to get to day 7 55%RH and 18⁰C. Room now set at 50%RH 21⁰C to finish medium and larger buds. Those jars are a bit full but probably spot on re moisture content.
Below plant 4 (day 6 dry) small buds overly dry, medium buds in the zone 161.9grams or 5.7oz. This was the plant most effected with the nute deficiency but also the largest buds. So far I would describe the small buds as light and fluffy, medium buds as reasonable, nothing dense.
Plus
Plant 4 total dry weigh in 407grams or 14.4oz
Plant 3 below 390grams or 13 & ¾ Oz.
Plant 1 below. 414grams or 14.6oz. moisture content spot on at day 8 of dry.. other 2 plants above a bit drier than I would have liked.
Below Plant 2, 305grams or 10.8oz. 8 days drying. This was the mutant with node pairings of 1, 2, 3, 1, 2,............
Total harvested 1678grams or 59.2oz or 3lb 11oz
Cost of grow for electricity over 66 days veg 65 days flower
Lights US$450 (initial error here, not US$270)
AC/Fans/dehumidifier/humidifier US$570
Cost of equipment amortised over 5 years use US$290
Nutes suppliments etc. US$110
TOTAL COST OF GROW US$1420 Or US$0.85c/gram or about US$25/Oz.
Thank you all for you assistance and encouragement 😍Last edited by Bluey; 05-06-2023, 10:41 PM.Flower Room: 11' x 7' x 7.5'H, 480w AC, 13gal/day dehumidifier, 1.5gal ultrasonic humidifier, 60gal (27gal usable) nute tank, 16" pedestal fan & 18" wall fan. Got another nice rain just in time so I have no need to water them. The latest 8 Ball Kush is doing well, it was very old seed (5+ years), The 2 TT1s are both showing female preflowers, the Scarlets should be right behind them.8 Photos

SoOrbudgal When you go outside I'll join the thread. I do have a bit of a head start.
-
OKay I'll do a outdoor only thread when i set them out unless someone else does one. Doesn't matter who does it i just want outdoor only grows. Hopefully we've got enough folks who do it LOL. I think it's interesting seeing different outdoor grows from folks in different states or countries.

The girls are out for a final top dress and trim at about week 3, now we wait as they head for the finish line. I’m in living soil and trying to keep the leaves around for buffer, this will be the second round in this soil. Hopefully about a moth or so they will be ready.
Defiantly looks like they will finish at different times, that’s always a challenge for harvest and dry timing 😬5 PhotosKIS mix organic living soil from Black Sallow soils in 7gal. pots

Update on my outdoor plants vegging in the indoor tent. I've now moved all the plants into the 3x3 I've got 9 photo in 1gal and 2 autos in 3gal. fabric those are OG kush autos.
This morning i reset my timer to 14hrs ON and 10hrs OFF getting them ready to transition to outdoors. I have 4 photos i need to sex maybe they'll show up now or before i set them out i'm not sure, what i don't want is a big reveg to deal with. It's still too cool to leave those autos outdoors or i would and rain is still going on here. I've got ferns and wildflowers i did'nt see last spring here growing so we've had plenty of a wet winter an spring. I'm thinking 3-4wks before i set them out if my tent can house them that long else i may have to set some CFL up in garage on work bench. I'll give details on the strains when time comes to get them outdoors hope to set up a only outdoor thread for 2023 but i'm not gonna yet LOL2 PhotosSmoke Ganja create Peace Respect Nature don't trash the Planet
