    Should you remove the shell (helmet) if it's stuck?

    One of my 2 mephisto chemdogging hasnt fully shed its shell. Should i wait or try and remove it? Its been 2 days since it popped up. They're in 3 gallon fabric pots using Canna Coco as the medium.
    First grow started on April 17th, 2019.
    4x4 Grow Tent
    2 X 240W 3000k QB (lm301b). 24/0 light cycle.
    Canna Coco medium, 3 gallon fabric pots
    AN SensiCoco Grow + Bloom w/ tap water

    Growing:
    2 x Mephisto - Chemdogging
    1 x Mephisto - Northern Cheese Haze
    1 x Dinafem - Dinamex

    Chopped June 30th, 2019. Final yield: 716g plus 329g of larfy buds.

    Yes, I mist it with water to soften it and wait a bit then see if it's ready to come off, using tweezers.
    If not, I wait another day and repeat- do not force it , it should just fall off once touched
    It's all bullshit - until you smoke it!

      Get rid of the shell gently. It's getting in the way of your new leaves.

        I agree with gingerbeard: Sometimes the seedling needs a little help getting the helmet off, just be super-gentle, don't force it like weed pharma says.

          Thanks guys. It seemed to come off pretty easy. The cotelydons are a little bent, but getting straighter today.

            I don't like to yank on em. A little lube seems to work wonders. I will mist it with distilled water. Seems to help.

              Hey Jay,

              Definitely give her a hand. A little misting, then gently work both sides off. I use two pairs of tweezers. Had to do it more often than I'd like. Seeds are expensive. I just helped out my latest two weeks ago, Purplediol by Elite seeds. Here she is, yesterday.Click image for larger version
