    Clone during flower?

my question is can I cut a small bottom cola off my flowering plant to clone. It is Northern Lights from Nirvana. So during veg I didn’t clone because the smell on the leafs wasn’t pleasant to me but now that it’s flowering it has this super strong smell which tripped me out because I got this strain for low odor and it’s the skunkiest smelling bud I have grown so far so now I want a clone can I stil doit? Should I still doit?

You can do it. She gets a little fussy about cloning after week 3 of flower though. So your success to failure ratio might not be that good, depending on what week you are in.
4x4 600w HID empty for summer
3x3 400w HID with Bruce Banner and Skywalker Kush
2x2 65w Quantum Board LED with 4 mother strains
running all simultaneously for a perpetual harvests.

Damn yeah I fuigured that much just was wondering if any of you guys had success with cloning flowering plants. I should have added that it’s in week 8 so I’m pretty much flushing now. Oh well I already have another NL and a AI from Nirvana at 2 weeks old so hopefully it’s a good one like this last run.. thanks for your reply

It's called Monster Cropping and I have done it in the past-(to rejuvinate a strain).
The results were great and provided a better clone once grown out- but the success rate is low and it takes more time, as the clone has to reveg.

Monster cropping involves taking clones from flowering cannabis plants to encourage heavy branching, high yields, and continuous harvests. Here's how to do it!
It's all bullshit - until you smoke it!

I have a clone going that was damage while in flower, its an auto which means it will not reveg. It is alive and growing, making flowers and getting sprayed with CS to make some fem seed from it. Another one I sprayed and left the light to close, and she is burned, but still alive,,, I hope,,,

How many weeks into flowering are you? Go for new growth without a bud, or cut off any buds. It is recommended taking the clone 2 to 3 weeks into flowering, but I was successful at 9 weeks. I am keeping it in our sun room, and even with the reduced sunlight of winter it is quite bushy. I illuminate it at night with CFLs to keep it in the vegetative stage. It is a strain I have been wanting for some time so want to keep it as a mother plant for clones. Growth control is the objective.
