    Storm damage, Serenade,seal or both

Found this after storm last night. Cut the branch off and will clone top 24 inches. I sprayed Serenade on the wound to try and keep mold out. Should I use tree wound sealer after it dries out or just keep up with Serenade? Would love some opinions or suggestions.

That's a nice stalk on that plant, I've never used Serenade, before, so not any help,
But I have used aloe vera, on damage like that, and it did fine.
Cfls for a week or two
      315lec for everything else
Dug up Ms.topsoil, with perlite added
      36x36x63 inch tent.
6inch - exaust - intake fans an scrubber
      Smart pots
      Molasses
      Autoflowers

This is my first time to use Serenade. It is supposed to eat gray mold. A wound like this is can be almost fatal this time of year. 78 degrees 50% humidity this morning and sprinkles on and off today high 90. If the gray mold gets started and gets into the stalk it will cause a canker and strangle the whole plant. May not kill the plant but will destroy quality and yield. I have posted photos of stalk canker in the past and only this year learned exactly what causes it.

I'm afraid that mold would easily get under the duct tape. I am hoping the Serenade will work till dried then tree wound sealer.

From experience I know that no type or amount of tape will keep mold out.

Wonder if pine sap would be ok? It contains antibiotics/fungals.
        FFOF +extra castings, compost, coco
        Veg 8 bulb T5 (blue)
        Flower 600w HPS

Great suggestion. Maybe pine tar, I think the tree wound sealer is petroleum based. Thank you.

Yea, I've heard that about the tree wound stuff. They now say it's best to let the tree heal itself. I can't imagine anything penetrating pine/fir sap! Good luck! Let us know how it turns out.
