If you are a new cannabis grower and you have never grown any kind of plant. Before you read cannabis grow guides. I suggest you read or take a class on basic gardening first. You need to know how to bake a cake before you can frost it.

Hi Guys
I have to say I've grown everything, and marijuana is by far the most forgiving plant i've seen. Knowing the basics (watering,ph,food)is all you need and the right equipment and of course the big thing ....Nebula's step by step guide to growing.
In the almost 3 months here it's a college course in growing and I haven't needed to update any equipment (lights, tent) and every harvest has been better for me! My only restriction right now is I'd like more room to grow and more lights and that is all MONEY!!!
I'd say go for it even if you can't keep a houseplant alive because with pot you have light and that's all you need to grow anything.

A sense of humor is my most important tool. I've taken university level biology and that has helped me understand things allot. But growing doesn't require understanding, rather it requires practice. I heard a cliche that covers this in my Navy days, "he who knows how will always have a job, he who knows why will always be in charge.SSD

V.true advice, read gwe, I am a first time grower, yet to harvest but through nebula's tutorials and help from the FANTASTIC people on this forum, I am well on my way to dankalicious buds, and I am planning no break, next one straight in and I feel that with GWE and the community on hand to help, the only thing I am lacking in is actual experience, and that comes to us all dudeThe more I know, the better I grow.

Flip on some tunes and sing to the girls!
But seriously, don't make any significant decisions when under the influence... in the garden and out

First timer here, just over 1 month into my first grow and I also have GWE and the folks on this awesome forum to thank for how well it's going. I researched and read for over a month and GWE was the best thing I ever found. I have to say I'm pretty shocked to see how many people just throw some seeds in any old dirt and don't do any research first but I guess that's one way to learn? The hard way, but aren't those the lessons that stick forever? I always remember what I learned the hard way! Got some scars to prove it

This is my first grow but between my too many years as a landscaper and this oh so awesome bunch of people at gwe, I feel pretty confident I will prevail. And yes it is a weed and it likes to grow as such! I think the gardening class is a great advice for any first time grower, get the basics down so you can focus on the fun stuff right away.x1 LED Cirrus T5 500w, x3 Sun System LEC315, x1 Nanolux LEC315, Saturn 5 controller, x4 6" can vents, 8800 btu A/C, 70 pint dehumidifier

Good place to share this story. Many many years ago when I found a few seeds in a bit of weed given to me, I decided to try to grow that spring. I was completely ignorant of cannabis as a crop. I had 3 plants, they reached 5-6 feet, but I didn't research and understand about male/female issues (with growing pot! 😄), so I ended up with one female that was loaded with seeds. At the time I was OK with this experimental grow, but looking back I realize I missed out on a chance for some great homegrown! So research is a good thing! 😄🌻🌱
