She made some salve last night with some trim/larf. She's back at it this morning... I don't really use the stuff but I do get sore from time to time.

She simmers it in coconut oil and adds orange essential oil. There's some beeswax incorporated too. She got the recipe from the420shack.com. Works well for her joint pain. She uses it sparingly but she loves it so far.

The weed skin salve has been used for centuries. This is a recipe for a cannabis skin salve that will stop aches and pains from joints and muscles. DIY.

We need an area for Med related posts. Or oils, essence and edibles. So much good data here

Yeh I was wondering if SiriusFourside and NebulaHaze were just waiting for a bit more content in the forum and then maybe collating some of that content into sections.

I'd like to see something like the following:
          • Current grows (Journals, Help Please)
          • Grow archive (Journals)
          • Mediums (hydro, soil)
          • Grow setups (indoor, outdoor, micro grow, mega grow, etc...)
          • Smoking
          • Vaping
          • Edibles
          • Medical
          • Legal
          • Lounge Area (General Discussions)
          • Latest Grow Tech (monitoring, testing, light tech, etc...)
Or maybe they just want to keep it a place that's fairly open.

We're definitely going to be adding a dedicated grow journal section, with both active and archived journals. We actually want to make that a cool feature, where growers get basically their own blog for each grow.

We're not sure about doing separate sections for grow styles because having a lot of different forums inside forums can make it hard to be able to see all the content. One cool thing about having it in a big list is everyone gets a chance at the top where everyone will see them. But if it starts getting overwhelming we'll have to start splitting things up.

As far as the non-growing stuff, we might consider making sections down the road but our main goal is to help people grow. There's only two of us doing this in our spare time and we are worried about needing to moderate a bunch of unrelated content, considering how active the forum already is! The weed-related stuff is usually really straightforward, but especially general discussion can start getting political, which we definitely want to avoid.

I really appreciate you sharing your suggestions with us. We want to make the forum fit what you all are looking for. This forum was made specifically to serve growers, so it's really great to hear what you're thinking about! We want this forum to be inspired and driven by the community! Please keep any suggestions coming, because nothing is set in stone!

            Hi Nebula,

Thanks for the response, looking forward to using that journal feature, sounds awesome.

Yep, it's a fine balance between organizing data and compartmentalizing it so much that you end up constantly shuffling threads about. I think as the forum grows you'll start seeing common themes emerging and those will guide your top level categories to some degree.

Playing devils advocate I'd offer the notion that having non-growing sections of the site might actually help keep the fringe topics away from the grow threads. Although I fully appreciate you and Sirius have dedicated a huge amount of time and effort already and it would be a waste of your time and knowledge to moderate non-grow related topics. You need minions! I'm sure eventually down the line you'll be able to find some willing and able users who would be more than happy to take ownership of modding sections guided by your policies.

Thanks for all you have already contributed, GWE has doubled my yield and completely removed any reliance on unreliable sources so I am eternally grateful to both you and Sirius. I'll keep the suggestions coming as it's all I have to offer at the moment

As long as you don't mind obliterating your tolerance, I'd agree. I personally like to get high from smoking traditionally I guess I'm old school though...

Not trying to be Argumentative just simply to state what's true for me. I had those fears of tolerance initially as well. Dab use does not prevent plain Jane flowers from getting me high. I am not aware of the human body developing cannabis tolerance from use of any cannabis product. Add that dry herb is not vape but rather low temp combustion. I like to tell people these thing because I am a huge vaping advocate that seemingly ironically isn't a fan of dry herb or true vape. Good dab is the smoothest hitting canibis product available and it is also very clean.

                  Peace

If she doesnt like smoking has she tried edibles or canna caps? Also it depends on the strain of herb. Some strains are more CBD intensive instead of THC which will have a different effect. I have never had a CBD strain but i am told that it is not like a standard THC high but is more relaxing rather "stoned".

Hi man, I gotta disagree with you on the "dry herb is not vape but rather low temp combustion"

Dry herb vapes should never combust, if your dry herb vape is combusting then it is either faulty or poorly built. Combustion results in an exothermic reaction, vaping should not burn or combust the herb in any way, you are aiming at vaporizing the desired components by bringing them above their boiling point.

As for tolerance to cannabis, a T-Break (Tolerance break) should sort that out so it's no biggie. HOW MARIJUANA TOLERANCE BUILDS UP — AND HOW TO BRING IT DOWN

I admit my bias it's personal. The break tolerance stuff matches my observations.

What happens to the alcohol in tinctures? I don't do alcohol! But would like to know more about tinctures!

Sonny, the alcohol can be evaporated off just by leaving it out (use bowl with lots of surface area) for 2-5 days if left in a dark, lower humidity spot. I did a few tinctures that I completely evaporated until all that's left is residue, which is where all that active cannabis compounds are. Dosing is (for me) a portion of that residue about the size of a grain of rice. I put it under my tongue...forget about it until 1-2 hours later and I'm feeling kinda funny 😄! Right now I'm evaporating my tinctures not all the way, just enough liquid to use it in a dropper bottle. Either way, it's an awfully fun way to get "high"!! 🙌🙌

Its why I need to go from a hybrid to a sativa to an indica and never stay too long with any strain - if I dont mix things up- tolerance blows

After deciding to try smoking weed again to see if it could help me with all of my chronic pain and finding that it had a substantial effect, I decided to try and make some type of edible. Although I still smoke cigs I'd prefer not to add any more stress. I first tried making a batch of RSO using ethanol as the solvent. Works great but it can add a really funky taste. Sourcing 190 proof alcohol around me is a real challenge so I kept looking-decided on trying a coconut oil steep. Added 30g of flower to 250ml of oil and brought it up to 250 degF for about 40min. Strained and filtered and then added to OO gel caps and now I have a very convenient method of administration-works VERY well.
                            WHAT???
                            5x5 grow space
                            900w of Vero's and F-strips
                            4-17gal totes self-made UC system.
