Calcium deficiency is usually the issue, but micro nutrients can play a role as well.It's all bullshit - until you smoke it!

I only started noticing this phenomenon on my last harvest; stems were hollow, weed turned out great. I want to see if I ever have any plants without hollow stems...Anyone can grow schwag. If you want to grow top shelf bud, study hard: https://www.growweedeasy.com

It's in a greenhouse, and I only have 8' of head room, but I will try to actually start a thread and post some pics, specially cause it looks halfway decent now !

GreenhouseEffect Awwwww, only 8 feet? Oh well, you'll just have to make do with lil shorties!!! :-}

Just want to say high to everyone I'm new to this site and I also in countered this for the second time growing in the past few years I have a rough idea of what it is but really don't care because for some reason my yields are much bigger not to say the hollow stem is the cause of my heavier yields..this was the Ortega I just recently cut down and yes I am a true o.g grower I just prefer the older strains.

Greengringo Welcome, gringo!! Beautiful plant!! I also like the old school strains! I'm curious: Who's the Orgega breeder? Did you get regular or fem. seeds?
-
At that est I have had hollow stems...More like a hole in the stem. Someone remarked once that it indicated the pl as it was done.
In this current sexing of regular seeds I had a gross hollow stem/ trunk...You could easily squishing. Breeder said hydro plants have hollow stems. 🧐🙄
That hollow was like a main water pipe.
Kim still unsure. I consider Coco to be hydro but not like DWC or aeroponics.Indoor- Coco coir & Perlite - 5 gal Smart pots

Main stem of girl #1 from my grow that I got rid of a couple of days ago to make more room. It was like a mcdonald's straw inside. Had plenty of hollow side branches too.1 PhotoCompleted auto grows 3

I just posted some pictures on my thread of the one my Dad made for me.

GreenhouseEffect that was a cool pipe

Thanks OJH! I have tried to make one myself, but have not been able to drill the stem out, without putting a hole in the side. He used a solid stem, hollow would be much easier.
