Hello, so the pH of my water alone is sitting at a 6.5. after i add sensi grow a&b it drops to a 5. Is this normal??

yes totally normal. I cant say that is what those nutes are specifically gonna drop it too. But all additives change pH.

yes because most nutrients are acidic, you need some ph up, thats the name

You can also use Alkaline additives to raise pH. If you use silica that is quite alkaline and should largely cancel the acidic effect of the nutes. I often use SM-90 in my water and it is a powerful pH up substitute as well. Silica should be added first, so is tougher to use to adjust, but SM-90 can be added last just like pH up.
        Silica helps plants grow strong
SM-90 promotes root development, acts as a wetting agent (make water more easily available to the plant), as a result it noticeably increases transpiration, it also fends off many pests.

Normal, as far as I've experienced. My well water starts at 6.9 and after mixing up my GH Flora trio-it's normally right at 5.5
