Here is how I see it. By the time my plants are ready for flowering. I have already established a feeding schedule and moving them to 12/12 is a easy transition. I give them a chance to get used to the more powerful light maybe a day. Water the first time with plain PH water. Then I start using Flowering nutes. I always use half recommended strength. And a lot of TLC.

So kind of how I started it in veg? Start real small and work my way up? Do you give veg nutes all the way until the switch to 12/12? Then that first watering you do just plain PH'd water? I have a schedule made up, but to me, I really want to get those veg nutes out before advancing with the bloom.. I like the idea of waiting until after the transition of the lights, because I do have a HPS bulb I'm going to put in for bloom.. I feel like that would greatly reduce the stress of the transition, so this really isn't a bad idea either.. I'll take some pics later of my schedule, I'll see if I can't just try to incorporate that, and see how it works with how she's growing.. so far, she's actually on schedule to what I'd like to do with her! So that makes things much better lol but all kinds of things could happen, I'm just taking precautions ahead of time to avoid that 😅😅 but Kingfish, you're awesome, my friend! Thank you so much!Last edited by Wattze; 10-30-2016, 01:01 PM.

Hello all, for another update!
Day 23 from seed (Day 10 veg)
-She took 3ml per gallon of nutes, only needed the one gallon
-PH runoff was steady at 7.0
-Temps are ranging from 85-82 degrees
-RH is at a solid 35-40%
-(NOTE: pre-mixed the next gallon after the watering, and only added another 3ml of nutes. Didn't add any PH up this time, so my gallon of water and nutes is @ 6.5-6.7. Hoping to change the range just enough for her to gather some other micronutrients in there.. only a minor adjustment, I usually add 1ml of PH up after I added my nutes to the gallon, and that typically raises it up to 7.0..)
Since the topping, the lower growth is wanting to explode! It's all bunched up in the middle there for right now, but I'm going to train them to be the same height once they get to the top! Then I'll start lowering the bucket accordingly..
So I guess currently, I'm patiently waiting for the growth to come up, then it's training time! She's awfully beautiful to stare at, she has such a complex system!
I love the streams of red and purple through the stems, I hope my buds are that color as well!
All in all, she's been fun to grow and watch come alive, a wonderful learning experience 😊5 Photos

I know exactly what you mean! I actually moved my fan because I was afraid it was drying her out just a little tooo much, didn't want any wind burn occurring! But I still want strong branches.. she'll get bigger, just have to stay patient lol but I do definitely know what you mean.. you study every inch so you know if something is going wrong lol

Yes, love his stage. Beautiful little "chubsters" I call them at this time- chubbing out after getting topped . Exhibiting great promise.

Guys just a super quick update and I have some questions and concerns..
im going to post them in 2 different posts, for the two different concerns lol
this one is my main concern, I'm worried about this top growth, it's like it's burnt, but literally everything else around those areas is fine..
-I've moved her down a little bit, and I think her next watering will only contain straight PHd water..
any other ideas as to what in the heck is going on here??
And my second one is this, what the heck is growing out of the node?? I thought it was a preflower, but it looks like another stem!
Im getting very confused, and she's definitely a one in a million plant.. hoping to get any feedback possible, and thank you guys so much in advance! 😓😓5 Photos

I'm no expert, but things look pretty good to me. Don't blame you for all this concern about your baby....I go through that all the time. However, with your attention to details, you seem to be headed to becoming a super grower, so breath deep and let the cannabis miracles continue! 🌻🌱🌻

Hello again 😊
Day 25 (Day 12 veg)
-No nutes on this watering
-1 gallon of PH'd water (PH of gallon: 6.6)
--took the entire gallon
---PH runoff: 6.9
-Temps: 82 and staying steady
-RH is getting up to 40% when the tent is closed
--staying steady at a 35% (We need rain!)
So this is a pretty minor update, but major if we're talking her growth! I've decided to hold off just a little longer on tying her down, however I've rearranged her leaves to hopefully get those lower ones up to the top of the canopy with those 2 top shoots! The lower growth is trying so hard, I'm letting her stretch to get there lol then she'll have a tighter node structure once I can contain them all 😊
I did however tie down those bigger fan leaves, they're just soaking up the lights so I'll keep em down while I'm getting the other branches up there. So we'll see how she does in the next couple of days!
Also, I didn't add nutrients to the mix this time, I think she has enough in the soil to soak up for a watering or two. (The top growth was a little concerning, but I think it's just genetics!) You guys were definitely right, she's gonna be just fine 😉
P.s.
I am loving the smell she's already starting to provide, these next couple of weeks of veg will be fun! 😊 I hope you all enjoy the update!5 Photos
