So the other day I unplugged my light by accident and then plugged it right back in but the light never came back on. ive done this before with out issue not saying u should. this bulb was a year old but I can sure see damage inside it and I'm sure I did it. So I'm wondering shouldn't my ballast have stoped tht from happening? Or did it do exactly what it was spost to and keep it from blowing the bulb And damaging my hood?

You checked the breaker i assume?
it could have been a surge or an arch that caused it tooLast edited by Qwertywill; 02-11-2018, 07:08 PM.
Please visit www.honestgr.ca for reviews on grow equipment. It is going slowly as I am trying to find products to review (and supportive companies!) I do giveaways there, do not tell me your from GWE however.

If your ballast has a warm up before lights kick on them it wasn't ballast but if you don't let it cool down before you plug it back in it's very possible you fd up. Next time let it cool down for 10-15 minutes before you plug it back in.https://forum.growweedeasy.com/forum...-she-s-a-beast

the ballasts give the bulbs a slow start and stop on/off the bulbs are not designed to turn on and off like a light switch and if the bulb was a year old then it was time lolnew grow room built summer of 2017 ,argo max tent for veging ,big kahuna reflector, 1000hps with added leds for the full spectrum . 15th indoor grow ,5 years outside gorilla grows(stealth is the key),veg under t5s growing autos under 300w leds
