I check on them 2-3 times a day. Once in the morning for foliar feeding and then in the evening to check both tents again with lights on (one is in flower) for veg foliar and scrog tucking/feeding/watering. Then sometimes a third peek about an hour before lights out.

At least twice a day. More depending on what I am doing.
I have been known to spend basically my whole day in the greenhouse, smoke a bowl, drink my coffee, plant some radishes, do some trimming, fiddle with something, smoke a bowl, stair at my plants.....
Right now I am away from them, trusting somebody else to take care of them, and it is KILLING me. Daddy Misses you!!!

"Smoke a bowl and stare at my plants" is my favorite form of meditation

Once at light on and once at light off, watering, feeding, and training times require more time than just checking. I also have been known to sleep next to my plants.

One of the first plants I grew was on a stool in my bedroom in a tall, south facing window. It didn't get huge but I loved smelling it every night when I went to bed. I got one seed from it and grew that seed the next year!

I have the grow in a separate building so it like "camping out with cannabis"

I’m in my grow room twice a day to check the pH of my 2 reservoirs. I run 2 tents on opposing schedules for flower, so I spend about 30 minutes twice a day with a tent open tending to the plants.

Yeah, interesting to see the range. I think some of it is new grower/experienced grower stuff. Once you have a few under your belt you don't need to be quite as obsessive as when you're in learn mode.

I have seen a couple of posts from people saying that, oops, they simply forgot about their plants for a few days or a week (followed by a sad story, of course). I guess that's the other extreme.

I do think that a good goal is to have the option of not having to fuss with the plants for a week if needed...

I don't think that those of us who like to spend quality time with our girls are necessarily "obsessive"; myself, I just like their company.

My last cannabis camp out the girls told me they enjoyed spending time together. It's a complicated committed relationship now.

PuravidaC ...Here is a photo of my last grow. The pots are elevated about 9" in the front and 9.5" inches in the back so the 14" tray can gravity feed into a Homedepot HDX 12 gallon tote storage container..I have drilled a 3/4" hole at low end of the tray and glued a 3/4" male barbed fitting into the hole so I can attach 3/4" black vinyl tubing to gravity feed into the container.

The supply lines come from a 5 gallon black bucket outside the tent that has a EcoPlus 396 GPH (1500 LPH, 20W) Submersible Water Pump mounted at the bottom with about 6" of 3/4" black tubing on the intake and and the other end on the bottom of the bucket. The pump feeds 3/4"black tubing to the plants via a manifold with valves to each plant to control flow. Make sure to put a little "anti-siphon hole" in that black tubing before it leaves the bucket. It then feeds each plant which has 3/4" black tubing around the smart pot with a Tee to complete the loop and supply it. I put a bunch of 3/16" holes about every 1.5" pointing slightly down and some pointing into the center of the pot.

Then I have the pump on a timer that can be set in seconds for On and Off times, with multiple timers during the day and week. (WenTop Digital Programmable Timer Socket Plug ).
I played around watering 3x daily for 25 seconds for 2 plants, no issues but I thought I wasted a lot of nutes so went to 3x on Mon, Wed, Fri with a flush on Sunday. The drain bucket could hold about 3 days worth of runoff.

              Hope this helps a bit.
