I was actually told today by my grow shop dude when I showed him some of my pics that I need to defoliate more...I looked at him and said .....WHAT.....he laughed and said I can tell your a cutter but all those sugar leaves should be cut even with bud mass.I said really but all the sugar....he said if there are no sugar leaves then the only place to grow the sugar is on the bud....I said huh....he whipped out his phone on me and showed me his current grow.....and man o man his buds were so trimmed up that when he harvests he will have no trimming to do at all they were that cleaned up. His colas were ginormus. The tricomes were so thick you could barely see the color of the bud. I have never seen such a thing....ever.....so.....do with that info as you see fit.
I myself on next grow will be edward scissor hands my ass off......

Wow, that's a new one! Does anyone trim sugar leaves during flowering? Would be nice to have more frosty buds!
-
Kinda of tags on to Nebula's theory on that.. and it's a very good one indeed! It makes sense to me.. if a plant can produce up to a certain number of trichomes, may as well load them up on a smaller surface area! Very awesome information lol

Man hard to say....if you cut all the leaves off the lower bud sites will become little nuggets due to light getting in
If you leave the fan leaves then the lower under bud will be nuttin
You can lollipop her as well....decisions suck assI know

I dont know what to do. I plug like one leaf a day. The lowest and ugliest one. And I lollipopped before switch to flower. I want someone that has done cfl grows could tell me how big the canopy should be and how low should I lollipop again if that's what I need to do. I don't feel the light is getting to them

Thanks. I try to keep this blog full of pics for people in the future trying to grow. I've had a hard time distinguishing good info from bad info on forums. I've read the newest cannabis enciclopedia from Jorge Cervantes. And I think I got the basics pretty mastered enough to share as if a young me were looking for info.

Oh my, oh my! Hope you get some purple or at least that deep green that makes the buds look neon.... I'm excited for you!
My GDP had the same scent, strong earthy smell but sweet.

I'm really looking forward to that but temp is 25 Celsius all the time. I doubt it. But she may surprise me. Hope she does but I do know what you mean with neon. When the lights go out and I use my cellphone light to behold the cristals. The buds look so tender green and young contrasting the super dark leafs.

I couldn't get my temps low enough either. I should have let her go a few more days but scheduling wouldn't permit. I considered rolling back the timer to 11/13 to try to induce expressions but I forgot, then it was too late as I was flushing....
Regardless, GDP is some quality smoke. Going to have some after my usual munchie attack...

Enjoy royal. I would like to try that sometime but when I get a better light. Lower budsites are way behind in size and maturity. So I'm gonna harvest all tops and let the rest of the plant as long as she needs to fatten those popcorn buds and they'll need all the light my 6 cfls can provide

Thanks. I water every third day. And water 3 liters of tap hard water with a little botanicare bloom. Around 5ml. But I amend the top inch soil twice a day to make sure it gets dry fast. That way no larvae survives. And most importantly the soil doesn't form any dry pockets due to clogged soil. Also the air pruning pot helps a lot
