Good morning RF, Most AC units are separated internally meaning the cool air does not mix with the hot air so you should not have to filter your ac exhaust. What size tent do you have and what are you using for lights . If you have a HPs or MH light you will need to cool that and you should have a filter on them. Hope that helpsnew grow room built summer of 2017 ,argo max tent for veging ,big kahuna reflector, 1000hps with added leds for the full spectrum . 15th indoor grow ,5 years outside gorilla grows(stealth is the key),veg under t5s growing autos under 300w leds

Hey,
New here but as oldjarhead said, the evap and condenser are seperate and enclosed. You cannot really use a portable ac to filter smells unless you put a pleated carbon filter of sorts on the return air side. (there is already a filter there with every unit.) and that isnt nearly as good as using an inline carbon filter. If you are using it to cool the tent, place it outside the tent the inline fan will pull the cool air into the tent.

Please visit www.honestgr.ca for reviews on grow equipment. It is going slowly as I am trying to find products to review (and supportive companies!) I do giveaways there, do not tell me your from GWE however.
