    If you are not spending at least 15min a day plus 4x's that amount at least 1 day a week you are doing it wrong. Growing plants (not just cannabis) has always been spiritual for me. That includes mowing the lawn.

    So so true . I talk and touch them daily. They heal me every morning , when they feel bad a little love goes a long way . With all my mistakes they always have a forgiveness and resilience that I found so magical. The science for my mind and the art for my soul.

    @Aloner
    Actually, I totally believe that. It's an amazing exchange of energy, and it's not just my cannabis plants I feel that with. I think we get really in tune with plant energy, which feels so good, kinda like it must be generating negative ions, like waves hitting the beach or rain. Way different from cats n dogs. When I go to bed, I stick my head in the grow room and say, Night beauties.

    I have to learn about these teas!! My new learning for today was SOG: I did it on this grow, but I never knew the definition of it. Tomorrow: teas!

    After I used the sledgehammer flush it also cleared up the great white sludge. Not 100% but 90 or so. Foams like mad , run it for an hour then out. Interesting .

    Yea I had that residue with Hydroguard also. Since I stopped us my water is nice and clean and no dirty res.

    Though I do wonder how much the UV in the LED helps with that.

    And now that I'm learning how to utilize H2O2 in more ways that will be another layer of prevention. The plants are taking the H2O2 Foliage spray well, nothing adverse noted so far.

    Next is aspirin, lol

    GanjaGed Sounds real good. I was traumatized by root rot on my second grow, so I religiously change the reservoir once a week--even though the root rot had nothing to do with a dirty reservoir. Every other week, I wipe out the gunk with a water/H2O2 solution. I want a clean, happy reservoir, and something that I'm using--may be Great White root inocalant--leaves residue in the res.

    Yea I get that!

    Eventually I'm gonna have a RO filter installed but until then I just use 5 gallon water cooler bottles, $0.35 a gallon at the store and .25 at the water company. Inconvenient but not much of a cost as I only run a 6.5 to 7 gal res. So 2 bottles lasts me pretty much the week or more.

    I also only change the solution if I'm making a big ratio change, or when I have replaced the original amount of solution by topping off and then when they drink most of that or PH drifts out of range I do a full res. change. For small solution changes I just adjust what nutes I use for top off/adjustments. Otherwise I don't really see a need to change every week or whatever. As long as everything is running clean and smooth and the plants seem happy, I let it go.

    Switching to RO was a big stress/work reduction for me, and I like being able to stretch my nutes and have less waste water.

    I sure as hell don't want to spend any more money on my setup right now, but I'm more and more convinced by various people that RO is a good thing. I appreciate this info, GGed!!!

    Air stones whack the hell out of PH, another factor in me going E&F. I had a hell of a time dealing with PH when I used my tap water, switched to RO and pretty smooth sailing, nice upwards drift that pretty much ends the week at 6.2-6.5 from a 5.5-5.8 start. I haven't touched PH Up or Down since the switch to RO, The GH Nutes and Cal Mag put it right about where it should be and since I run a 1/2 strength solution I have some play room and add a little of this or that to adjust the PH. Same during daily check ups, adjust PPM's and PH with nutes after topping off with plain RO. My plant's seem to love it, no nute burn or deficiencies It's almost like they tell me what they need if I just listen right, lol. But then again, I might have a couple of sticks in a bucket and be hallucinating that I'm growing, lol. Dementia, it's a whole new world every day :P.

    Interestingly I stopped using Hydroguard type products, and that seemed to help too. I don't run chillers or use frozen bottles, etc. so I can't comment if those have any effect.

    Beautiful plants Tat!
