What are the available methods to really boost trichome levels and quality in the final weeks before harvest?
What are the standard techniques?
Which ones are based on myth, and which ones are based on fact?

What are your personal favourites?
What have you personally tried?
Can you elaborate on your experiences?
What results did you see with each separate technique?


Honestly, I want a library of answers and methods. It's so much fun to read up on growing. I just love it.
And obviously I wanna put it into good use.

I have four babies on the verge of harvest, so i'm thinking of trying a single technique on each individual girl, and comparing the smoke at the end, to verify which techniques really did something for me.

Armadillo, I turned on the dehumidifier all through flowering on grow 2, kept it around 35-40%, and I do believe that helped trichome production.

My other tried and true method is to tell the girls how beautiful they are, at least 4 times a day. I feed them with my energy.
 
I've found that if I split the stem at the bottom about two weeks before harvest and leave plant in the dark for 48 hours before it helps.my,02 cents.
To split the stem,I first take two small plastic wire ties place one about a inch from soil and another about two inches above that and pull till tite,than take a sharp knife and split stem in between the two and place a tooth pick in between the slit to keep the split open. This stresses out the plant in a good way and produces more tri's.

Question for ya, alltatup....When the dehumidifier is keeping the RH around 35-40%, what is the temperature?
I would like to consider adding a dehumidifier to the tent...but concerned about the temperature rise....Thanks

I've heard of lowering humidity too. Never tried it.

Terpinator is supposedly a good product but it's supposed to be started earlier in grow I think, again I've never used it but it is mentioned on GWE.
Tika has used previously it with her GH nutes
 
towards the top of the article it also mentions using MH bulbs which I've read in a few different sources.
 
I am using a 10K MH next grow. The UV rating on this Solis Tek 10K bulb is off the charts!. I see a grater danger of unprotected eyes under this bulb and use tanning cream on arms and face SPF 75! This bulb is so blue its like being on the Equator!. Then I will use a Solis Tek 600 watt HPS during final faze as well.
