Funny Gordo...just finished reading before my daily visit to forum. My take away was that more research is essential to get the science done that will provide substantial proof of the many benefits of cannabis that most of us already realize. Sad that the Schedule 1 designation has blocked this for years in the U.S.. Trying to be hopeful that truth prevails, without being unrealistic. Thanks for sharing! 🌻
 
You are welcome Rock. It's a catch 22,, they say "show me the research" out of one side of thier mouth and "we wont let you do research on a sced 1 drug" out of the other. Fucking idiots.
 
Great article, thanks for posting. they should do a side-by-side study of effects on memory with marijuana and alcohol. During my drinking career I lost track (pun intended) of how many 'blackout' episodes lol.When I returned stateside after my combat tour I made a concerted effort to forget what I had been involved with. Through alcohol abuse I was able to erase (forget) the specifics of my problem, without doing anything to remove the psychological damage done. I have been under treatment for PTSD from before they called it PTSD. The ONLY effective relief and ability to sleep is with marijuana use. I have a 'cocktail' of prescriptions to allow me to sleep, but one joint and I can sleep without drEAMS.
 
I am doubtful of any reclassification from a Schedule 1 with the incoming AG opening saying that " only bad people smoke pot"!!!
 
Yeah, I have the feeling he's going to be a problem for MJ in general.
I hope he finds better things to spend his limited time and resources on.
MJ will be the least of his problems.
 
Drug companies seem to be running the world, when is the world going to say *I know how I want to care for myself and F.U and the drugs you make.

How long have we been paying for cancer research (way to long)
I hope we get to keep the MJ laws we the people have passed.
 
Bikerstonrr , thank you for sharing such personal information so honestly. the fact that many MANY MANY people turn to alcohol to self-medicate is one of the MOST PREVALENT, DOWNRIGHT COMMON conveniently swept under the rug BIG little secrets of the current political climate. and you express so WELL exactly how an individual, psychologically, goes about getting themselves from trying to "make a problem go away for at least for little while" to full-blown alcoholism. you really spell it out so sincerely and concisely--so...yeah.... much love to you for that, man.

my (probably unjustified) optimistic hope is that more and more people who are anti-cannabis, for whatever their OWN reasons be they good or bad, become aware of stories like yours (THERE ARE SOOOO MANY!! grrrrr!!!) and think to themselves well, maybe if it would help our veterans... or the little children who have epileptic seizures every hour or so, their entire short existences....or the cancer patients who can't endure the pain or can't keep food down.... i mean seriously, take your freakin' pick. anyway, maybe if these DIEHARD anti-types are really confronted with the reality of what you said, maybe that can pry them away from the following (terrible) inference: well i'm certain it's wrong (for ME)...so therefore it's wrong (for EVERYONE.) real real bad logic there.

anyway, i am very glad you have found a little peace and hope you continue to.
 
Thanks for sharing this, very interesting read. Nothing we don't know already, really.... more tests needed. Not just human testing.

There's elderly dogs with crippling arthritis out there that can now function and actually RUN, yes RUN not limp, stagger, crawl... RUN because their owner gave them CBD. I've witnessed it... nothing short of miraculous.
 
Nugs. Do you have any links for this? My dog had hip dysplasia (operated on) and has arthritis in her back. VERY interested on any leads!
 
puravidac, the love of my life has an artificial hip and needs another one...he's only 7, has congenital dysplasia... thankfully got caught before he was 5.. i too would be VERY interested in any leads...
 
First of all sir, thank you for your service to this great country of ours. Your story really hits home, and it's first hand experience like yours that hits so hard and makes the whole fight against cannabis seem so heartless and rooted in ignorance. You can take a bunch of chemicals with God knows what side effects, or you can use a plant you grew on your own to achieve the same outcome without all the garbage that comes with prescription drugs. Stories like that are what is going to win this fight. I hope in our lifetimes we will finally see some sense come of this, not just for you or me, but for everyone.
 
They were from a dispensary in Ann Arbor mi. I don't remember the exact dispensary, this was a few years ago. There's all kinds of cbd treats online.
