You know what i hate?

I hate all those that think they have the right to call me and try to sell me something I dont want. Soon as their off the line I block their number, so they call again from another line which I also block. I have blocked so many numbers I called my provider and ask if the blocking is stored on my phone or the server, all she said was "good question" but did not answer it.

I was getting a dozen calls in a day and got to telling people to fuck things and other more creative unpleasantries. Not the sort of thing I typically do.
After enough time of not answering numbers I didn't recognize, the calls faded away. It's especially helpful when caller ID says 'Spam'. Only get a couple in a week these days.
And if nobody responds after a single 'Hello?', hang up.
And don't click the cute cat pictures.

I hate when they delay responding when I answer, at that point they have already pissed me off! IF I am not being completely rude I say "if you cant talk dont call!"

i could sell my house every single day. i mean do these ppl. think that i'm sitting here waiting for someone to call and buy my house. like i'll just decide fuck it yeah i'll move . next time i move it'll be a 1 man pine sub-basement apt. last time the lady called i asked if she wanted to sell her car. she said no why, i said since we're askin' each other stupid questions wtf right might as well ask

There is a good chance my local medical clinic will be closing because the people who run the place are patients, not business leaders or medical professionals.
Part of the way the clinic gets funded is to have a board made primarily of patients from the community. Over the past several years, the board has hired poorly and fired no one because people quit from the frustration of bad management by the board. I found this out through an article in our community rag. The 'physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician's assistants' penned the letter in the opinions as an apology for 'hundreds' of appointments that have recently been cancelled and laid out why.
When I first went to the clinic a decade ago, I would get callbacks from my doctor to see how things were going, and I could get an appointment the same day. Now, I wait 7 weeks for an appointment with a [person] that gets cancelled two days before with an offer of another opening in 3 weeks. I don't get referrals I need to see specialists after 8 weeks. I will never see the same [person] twice. Their patient portal is 75% useless, including most messages that I have sent were never answered. I've walked out of appointments because the [person] who was supposed to see me didn't show up after 30 minutes.
I switched my healthcare over from the VA to this clinic because the VA had their own issues and the main hospital is an hour away by car. I can see the front door of my clinic from my front door. In my experience with VA doctors, they think their patients are full of shit and looking for pain meds. The [people] at the clinic are friendly enough and seem to care.
Friends have said big changes have been made and I should give the VA another shot. Goddamn that is a large-size pain in the ass.
Goddamnitall!

hey dd, the va where i live is much better now than when i was there 5 yrs ago, i recently switched back 2 it and its better run than the private place i have been using. and after 2 yrs of using the private health care group WITH PRIVATE INS. i owe them $ 103,546 needless to say i will be using the VA from now on. give it a shot, you earned the bennies, use 'em

$103k is a mother of a bill! Is 'Fee Basis' still a thing? Where, if you can't get to a VA place, the VA will pick up the tab anyway? Like, the VA does not have an emergency ambulance service, but they pay when a vet needs one. Or urgent care. Maybe it's the type of disability? I am a poor and decrepit enough war era vet that I'll have free healthcare (save glasses and cosmetic dental) for the rest of my life.
Switching back would mean starting over what I've been working on for over a year. 1 primary and 4 specialists. Lots of imaging. Rehashing the whole lot. When I was with the VA, I had a recent history of drinking, and I believe in my cold, black heart they poo-pooed any complaints I had because of it. That really jaded me. Man, the VA had issues!

yeah dd im a 2x usmc combat vet and now im perm. disabled from diabetes, they took all my toes and gangrene took my heels so va is iffy on what they do for wound care and nursing. i also used to pound about a 5th of vodka a day and va was not on board with that. im still in the middle of tryin to change every thing back to va but its so confussing that i just let my kid deal with all the paperwork. the funny part is the bal. i owe private ins. is on payment plan at the current rate it will be paid off in 958 months

This pisses me off. I hate, despise, and loathe the American health care system for the reasons you have so eloquently outlined. Our system is not the world's best. We don't have a corner on the worlds best doctors. Our survival rates are not the best in the world. Our system is a money pit designed to indenture the masses for the profit of a few. Greed and the quarterly bottom line is what drives the cost up. Did I mention greed and avarice? Basterds Every fueking one of them. Health care should be a right. We have the worlds richest economy. Our society should be educating the masses without cost to anyone wanting an education. And we should be caring for our sick like we actually give a feck!. Don't get me started on the mutherfeckin greedy cancer system we have and the cattle call clinics all over the place. Why is cancer so prevalent? Because the ones that control the money want it to be, the prix! The hypocrisy about service veterans and their healthcare is nauseating. If we love our veterans so much why is suicide in the military so high? If we love our veterans the way we say we do why are there so many homeless? If we lover our veterans so much why are we OK with them getting sub standard care with astronomical medical bills. Our veterans are treated generally like $hit by our government. The basterds controlling congress are quick to stand in for photo ops but when we need to spend money on vets, forget about it.

Brah! Not only do I live in the richest economy in the world, I live in the first and fourth richest economies in the world, California.
I just did a little research. The three doctors that were listed on my treatment team resigned within about a month of each other, along with several others including the CEO. Without doctor supervision, the nurse practitioners and physician assistants are about as good as going to the 'minute clinic' at the drug store.
A fortuitous phone call from the clinic after I posted this. Two phone calls now, that I have told someone at the clinic I am unable to trust them.
