In my recent experience, your landlords are going to learn about the ounce of prevention being worth a boat load of water damage repair. Then, when the black mold starts, you have a slam-dunk winnable lawsuit. Document your contacts with the landlords so they don't come back and say you never told them there was a problem.

That's just crazy. I have a brother with leukemia and one of his pills is over 12 grand per. Only once a month though.
