Yer Blues

What we got here is back right. Please disregard the hairs that should not be there and any dust balls my fans might have thrown off when bumped, which should also not be there.
All the top flowers are well over 50% ginger. Many sugar leaves are 98%. The lowers are still somewhat glassy but still ginger sprinkled. The middle is nigh on 20% ginger. I'm pretty sure she needs to die. Where's me Fiskars?
All the others are gingering along nicely. I had not planned on harvesting until 10 weeks, but my hand might be forced. Definitely going to do these days apart.
Threw in a G2F pulldown cola shot. They're trickier to do than a straight shot but look real fine.

Bloody hell. Ten weeks.
Back left got harvested last Friday because of my insistence she was ginger heavy. The other three... damn. I was going to harvest today but the ginger is barely fair light. The handful of remaining sugar-free fan leaves are dying rapidly.
Harvest day is getting pushed back. They got pH'd water last dryness. I'm on the fence about water or nutes this next go.

That plant I harvested two Fridays ago got test smoked. My mouth tastes like shit. My apartment smells like shit. I have to leave my pipe outside until tomorrow when I get around to cleaning it because it smells like shit. Am I high? Sure. Why not. But I'm a dabber, you see. I hit 80%+ at a time. I cannot tell you if weed is potent without smoking a lot. And I am not smoking a lot. My gut is telling me it is bottom shelf. Maybe high-bottom. I blame harvesting too early. My dope smoking buddies will be the final review.
A note. The smell of the just dried bud smells just like the stuff still growing in the tent. That happens to me infrequently enough that I have to note it.
Here's what we're going to do:
That first plant gave me better than 65 grams of otherwise real fine looking dope. Lots of trichomes and junk. I figure the three plants I have left will lowball average me out at 60 grams per. Call that six ounces. When I make my resin, I wash1.5 ounces with one can of solvent. I have four cans of solvent left. Four cans are perfect to wash six ounces of bud at 1.5 ounces per go.
The 65 grams of early bud is going to get the ice water treatment and the resulting kief will be washed with high-proof and filtered with my new Buchner setup, with a thought to dewaxing. This will ease up my curiosity of making something dabbable from kief instead of using that other solvent that if you say three times fast will give you warts, and not having to buy a press.
No pictures. You know what a couple ounces of weed looks like. Wait until Wednesday when I do my update.

Week 11. The three plants originally filled my tent to capacity. If I still had the first that got harvested too early, I'da been boned. Don't seem to have gotten any pictures of that first. Trim, popcorn, and all other processable trichome baring material came to about 85 grams. See my Hash talk thread. Page six, post 90, is where it begins.
Well, as you can see, I made some space in my closet. For those of you with three brain cells left in your long-term memory, that is the same closet I start growing in with my 2x3x4.5 tent and Viparspectra LED come 6 years next month. The tent is now sitting on my balcony. The flowers end where you see at the bottom and go another handful of branches farther up top.
See, a bonus to having such a hot light this time a year is that it heats my apartment without needing to turn on my FAU. That's the FAU I refuse to get fixed because I will have to deal with my c-word landlady. Such a c-word. Anyway, I cut today and am doing an immediate turnaround to keep the light on. Damned clever, wot?
The root balls from the plants did not fill the pots. These are comfortable three-gallon pot, pot plants, with my setup. I can easily knock off enough loose coco to fill an entire bag and will be growing in fresh recycled, I guess. Maybe even call it continuous use? Use your own words. Warm your heart.
I promise to take better trim pictures. My apartment sucks on many levels, including lighting.

Nicely hung and patiently waiting. I still toke on flower and that would be a bounty for me. Got A RTP Go press but to dang lazy.

From the three plants...
Got 60ish grams of trim and littlebud. 175ish grams of good, solid bud.
The trim and littlebud are being keif'd. The kief will go to ethanol to make my dabbable hash.
This Thanksgiving is a special one. It is the Thanksgiving that I decided to evolve from making resin to making dabbable hash. Half this grow will be resin'd to use up my remaining solvent, and half will be kief'd in the 5-gallon bubble bags I just treated myself to. Both will be dewaxed to the best of my ability.
Got's me a little groove going with my little 1-gallon bags and a whisk and I am no longer afraid of the 5-gallon and drill. I'm just a little worried about all the water.
Bud porn only. Trim porn ain't my kind.

After doing up that trim and littlebud, I have further evolved. This gingerbeard is done making BHO. There, I said it. I made BHO.
Got to getting my head wrapped around making another batch. Grind. Pack. Blast. Repeat. In a few days of purging, I would have my resin. Not great smelling. Not great tasting. But a good hitter.
Today's great evolutionary leap was realizing how much freaking simpler doing the melted kief was. No grinding. No packing. No face full of butane. Purging is done in hours. Smells great throughout the process. Smells like bud in the dab jar. Doesn't taste great. Hits like a crowbar with a baseball bat tied on the end.
Today's make will sit in the cupboard. I'll hit it over the next few days to see how it changes.
Still no true dewaxing. Best I could do was -10° overnight.
