Yellow Leaves early in.

This is my 4th year of growing and the first time I've ever had leaves turning & dying this early on in the year(they've been in the ground for 3 weeks). I'm thinking it's the heat which has been in the 105+ range for over a week, even 113° for 3 days straight. It could be over watering also because around 1pm or so they start drooping a lot so I give them a little water. I'm attaching some pics showing the two Blue Dreams that are having this problem plus my Shishkberries that are in pots that are doing great, even with the heat. They all have the same soil and nutes. I don't think the Blue Dreams are over watering just because they are in the raised beds and I know that the soil drains good, maybe too good? What's everyones thoughts?

I am guessing that is the heat but I have no idea what to do about it. With those temps I am guessing its a dry heat so I would look into possibly foliar feeding plain water in the morning.

It's always going to suffer a lot in high temps and droop.

You can rest a few ice cubes on the soil in the middle of the day, move it into the shade during the hottest periods, they will need a lot of water but try not to produce runoff.

Terracotta is a good choice for hot weather but the pot needs to be kept wet and it will have a cooling effect on the roots via evaporative cooling. They breath.

Thanks for the advice. The two plants I'm having problems with are not in pots, they are in a raised bed. The plants in the two pots are doing great. I would think it would be the other way around. I can cover the two plants with sunscreen cloth during the hot times of the day. Ice cubes are a good idea but would melt in about 10 minutes with 100+ temps. I can try it though.

Add silica to your nutrient mixture. I has been proven to help a variety of plants to withstand heat issues and too toughen up the stems. I too have a heat problem in my indoor grow with temps occasionally into the nineties and the silica really helps.

Thanks for the silica advice. I did some searching and found these but think that the Silica Mono Acid is best. Si-Tech, Mono-Silicic Acid or Botanicare Silica Blast. Which one should I use, the Si-Tech?​

I use GH Silica but the Silica Blast should be just as good
