Wrinkled Leaf

Can anyone tell me why my leaves crinkle up? I can't seem to figure out why. Not sure if it is too much nitrogen (I don't think it seems to be the case though, correct me if I am wrong). Here is a picture

It doesn't really look bad but it is a little odd. It doesn't seem like nitrogen toxicity to me because the color is perfect and the tips aren't clawed. What's the temperature and humidity in there? Have you noticed any other symptoms? Just from the picture it looks like the rest of the plant is very green and healthy

My temperature is 79 degrees Fahrenheit at the leaf (used with an infrared. Humidity is roughly 70%. I haven't noticed any other symptoms, seems like it only occurs in this specific strain. The other strains looks fine to me.

Do you have a fan directly pointing at those leaves without the fan oscillating? I have noticed a few leaves do this from time to time and I have summed it up to be wind burn. Basically the wind is drying out those leaves faster than they can be replenished threw the stems.

No I do not have fans blowing at the plant only enough to provide a slight breeze. The leaves only occur in the mid section. The top leaves are straight.

To me it just kind of looks like they are trying to bend up towards the light ....interesting

If it's just a few leaves on a single strain it's probably no big deal, especially since the leaves are staying green. However I noticed your humidity is pretty high, which prevents the plants from evaporating water out of their leaves properly. It seems possible one of your plants is more sensitive to that and maybe that's causing the crinkling. Is it an indica? Sometimes it seems they have a harder time with high humidity.

Is it really bushy in there? If you take leaves from the bottom and middle of the plant it can help bring the humidity down since each leaf is constantly releasing water vapor in the air.

Since your plants look healthy you probably don't need to yet but you may want to think about controlling the humidity eventually. Especially before they start flowering or your buds can get mold after they start getting fat. Plus plants often grow faster at 50% humidity once they're a few weeks old!

That being said, that's all picky stuff because your plant looks great! Very nice color on it!

I do light defoliation on the plants when they become too close to one another. I will try to bring the humidity down more, but it tends to be hard because the weather outside is very humid especially in bay area of California. Here's a picture of an individual plant. Sorry th picture didn't turn out as nice (lights just turned off.

This is a better picture for diagnosis. Those purple stocks tell me there is some strong genetics working here and I am thinking that is what is going on with the "Twisted Leaf". It could also be why the leaves are a darker green. I don't see anything worth worrying about.

Have the roots recently been disturbed? Could also be that if it's the only growth wrinkled that the emerging leafset may have been pushing against something as it was forming, just speculating, still looks like she's healthy though!

Purpling stems indicate magnesium deficiency.
