Worms in my kratky hydro?

I have a seedling I set in a jiffy tube and transplanted shortly after sprouting. The plant is doing well but when I went to check the roots there was no new growth of roots. Also as I lifted the Cup out if the water these 3 small wiggly work maggots looking like short hair or thread wiggled to the bottom as I was making a YouTube video.
Anyone know Weat they are and if they will kill my plant?
i think they are red worms??
