Winter grow

Hello old friends! Hope all is well with everyone and I hope you're staying safe. It's been a little while so I thought I'd pop in and give you all an update on what I have going on now.

I'm still in the small RV and have had a lot of improvements since I've been in here. Electric has been upgraded, water and everything has also been upgraded and I am staying fairly warm so far this winter. Luckily it has been a fairly mild winter so far, cold (got to -10 the other night) but not too much snow yet. Anyway, on to the part you guys actually care about. 😂

I wasn't having much luck with my autoflowers. I had an Alaskan Purple that got eaten twice, but still gave me 5-7g I think. I didn't actually weigh it so I'm not really sure. I also planted a Zkittlez autoflower and ended up over-watering them both so I didn't get a lot from either one.

So long story kind of short, I decided to go back to photoperiod strains. I planted a Critical Orange Punch and a Grand Daddy Purple on November 14. The GDP didn't take so I tossed it and got another going right away, that's why it's so much smaller than the other one. I don't want them to be too tall so I topped the Critical Orange Punch just above the third node on December 1. Since I'm doing 2 strains, I only wanted the 2 main branches (instead of quadlining like I usually do) so I got rid of everything under the third node. Still growing it out sideways so I just tied it down for the second time. Not sure what I will end up with since I'm limited on space, but we'll see. The GDP is almost ready for the first topping, I just want it a little bit bigger so maybe a few more days. Hoping I have enough weed to last until these are done.

For those of you who are interested in my setup...
Or for those stoners who forgot 😂
2x2x4' tent with a Mars Hydro TS600 (100W actual)
2 gallon plastic pots with no extra holes
Mother Earth soil blend (I forgot the names of the ones I mixed)
No added nutrients
Well water, not even sure what the pH level is
Using plant ties for training

Lots of rain and cold here in PNW should make skiers happy, me not so much LOL. Good seeing you back with your little setup you have going. Are you just topping and LST? Wish you great luck with your grow, stay high and dry.:big-smile:

Thank you. Yeah I usually like the snow, but since I'm in the RV this year I'm ok without it. Next year when I'm in a house again I'll be fine with it I'm sure. Just topping and LST planned for this grow. Depending on how much trouble it gives me, and how long it takes to get into a house, I might try a SCROG net. Hoping by the end of this grow that I will be close to getting a house. If I am, I won't be doing a SCROG because I will be setting up multiple tents again. So only time will tell there.
