Will wrong ph effect flower taste?

Hi! We’ve been on vacation for two weeks and a friend has been taking care of our two (4 weeks into flowering) Bubilicious plants. Before we left we noticed the leaves were starting to turn yellow so I just dosed them with extra fertilizer and hoped for the best. It’s gotten considerably worse, we’ve long distance diagnosed them with a messed up ph. Since it’s been more than 2 weeks I was wondering if this will effect the buds for smoking taste? Thanks!

(I can’t seem to upload a pic right now)

*****Edited to say:

I’d like to clarify that I understand about nute lock and how bad it is for the plant, but I’m sure once we’re home tomorrow we can remedy it for the next month until harvest, I’m just concerned it has negatively affect the flowers in the month that this has been happening.

I would assume that two weeks of messed up pH won't do anything good for your buds; hopefully the bud will be decent. See how trichome development looks.

Thanks! We just got home so we’re trying to quickly amend it. Hubby just checked trics and he said they’re cloudy/amber already!! I’m concerned we f’d it up, we’ll see.....

How do the buds smell? Cloudy/amber is good, and if they smell divine, then you are right smack dab in the harvest window!!!

Hi! I looked at the trics and they are clear, he must have had his weed goggles on! Hoping they’re done before they really are. 😂 They smell great, we checked run-off ph and it is 6.2, lower than we were expecting. So we gave them a heavy dose of fertilizer (Fox Farms bloom) talked to them lovingly and crossed our fingers.

Finally got the pics uploaded, you can see in different lights how they’re yellow, also the yellow leaf I’m holding onto is what has happened to them all, turn yellow gradually, then to brown and drop off. At least they’ll be easy to trim, lol!

That was a great article, thanks for the link! I think we will start to flush now, would you recommend molasses or plain water at this point? We are only five weeks into flowering, which is why I’m concerned. And again, thanks for the help!

HL, I flush with plain water, but I grow hydro. What does the breeder say about flowering time? The last thing you want to do is harvest too early because it really REALLY cuts down on the strength of the THC. Please, if you can, take some pics of the colas up close. If you still have a lot of white stigmas or pistils, they're not ready.

HL, Here's what I keep on my computer about all the strains I have:

%GREEN CRACKCali Con 8+wks Tall; train well THC15-20%
Genetics: Skunk #1 x unknown IndicaThis is the real deal Cecil C Green Crack Aka Cush.
Effects:mentally invigorating, fights fatigue, stress, depression.

JACK HERER GHS 8+wks Med" High THC
Genetics: Haze x Red Skunk (sk pheno); Bring pH back down to 5.5; 60-70% RH during veg
Effects: strong and complex; pain reduction

LA S.A.G.E. THsds 8+wks 100-150cm super high THC
Genetics: SAGE (Haze x Afg.) x Skunk #1
Effects:Euphoric, extremely medicinal: pain, stress relief

You need to know what the breeder recommends for flowering. It's not a good idea to grow without knowing that stuff, because you can waste a lot of time and money and ruin your grow.

I would defoliate also a bunch of those yellow leaves. Allow more airflow is the reason, those now are doing nothing for the plant. Just my thought. Really nice buds:)

Thanks! Every day we remove a handful and every day there’s many more. 😏 Of the buds didn’t look/smell fantastic I’d be more worried but they’re looking great. Trimming will be super easy for this harvest! 😂
