Why is air temp so important?

I keep reading that indoor plant air temperature should be kept at something like 60-80f. My outdoor plants get full sun all day and have tolerated temps up to 110-115f no problem as long as they have enough water. Also I have had plants out slightly below freezing w/ frost with just a big sheet over them. If they’re kept the right distance away I can’t imagine that they are so much more intense than the frigging sun that they can’t handle those same highs, properly watered at the right humidity. Though I’ve had plants go multiple days with high humidity. I am exhausting the tent air directly outside with 2.2 air changes a minute but I can’t always control the temp in the room the tent is in. Would love to get an answer to this question so thanks!

i grew this plant in the conditions above with no problems. The buds were fairly tight.

High temps indoors attracts bugs makes them breed faster than in cooler temps. Also, large temp fluctuations creates conditions that mold spores love to blossom in.
Outdoors, pests have predators that keep their numbers in check. The recommended temperatures are not just for the plant, but to provide the most optional conditions for all the variables involved in growing.
 
Outdoor plants are much more tolerant, but in the end, never bloom as strong or yield as well as indoor plants. At the end of the day a plant need to be comfortable just like us. We can function and do just fine when it's cold, or when it's sweltering hot, we're just not at our best, same goes for plants. Grown slows and nutrient uptake slows past a certain temp, or dipping below a certain temp.

I first hand noticed how much it helped bringing my overnight temps up above 60f. Growth exploded.
 
I'm sorry dropinbiking but i'm stoned still from last night my own bud right so if I read your statement wrong take no issue but...…..I disagree with the statement of outdoor " never bloom as strong or yield as well as indoor plants?" That's a very misleading statement. I've had a plant that I harvested over 1lb outdoor many others have done way better. Where did you get that info from?
 
Given all thing equal, I don't think the sun gets as consistant of a light and flowers plants as dense or ass efficiently as indoor lighting can. That's all I was getting at. Artificially controlled light will yield better than outdoor plants, given all the right conditions.
 
Don't think of amount of yield weight, just think of yield efficiency. The light with its in-consistancy is not the most efficient way to flower bud
