Why I grow cannabis in a closet

On October 14, 1978, President Jimmy Carter signed H.R. 1337, which contained an amendment sponsored by Senator Alan Cranston (D-CA) creating an exemption from taxation of beer brewed at home for personal or family use. This exemption went into effect on February 1, 1979, making homebrewing legal on a federal level in the U.S.

When I was growing up in the 60’s my father and his friends were making homebrew all the time. I had no idea that it was illegal to make beer greater than .05% ABV. The beer that they made was well over 6% ABV. He set a batch for the 4th of July every year and have a party in back yard, and friends would be crawling out of the back yard. The point my father, like myself, are and were ahead of the times.

My father was making beer and I grow cannabis in a closet, both illegal at the time. Like homebrew, someday growing cannabis for personal or family use will become legal. And we will be ahead of the curve. Keep growing my friends.

It makes ya wonder. If alcohol was illegal at a time and today we have presidents and leaders who drink on the reg, when will we have a president who smokes regularly?
