Why do I have flies?

I am dumbfounded? I absolutely do not over water my girls as I actually let them start to droop before feeding. I am using coco for my medium and still have flies? I'm less then 2 weeks from harvest but do have damaged leaves from the little buggers. All I have done so far is use the yellow fly cards do I need to worry about my roots. About 12 days from harvest.

try some diatomaceous earth. After next water, wait an hour or two till top of growing medium has dried up. Then coat the top of your growing medium.MAKE SURE YOU TURN YOUR FAN(s)OFF before you do this cause that shit blows everywhere ffs) sometimes you 'll see nats coming out the drain holes in your pots too. Crank up your air flow at plant base and keep using stickeys..get a couple of the fly trap strips that hang from ceiling too. homegrown
