Why do breeders list height for their genetics?

yeah they kinda put all the strains thru the same conditions and veg times so when theyre done flowering they know witch ones stayed short and which ones didnt
 
because if you're growing in a tent with limited ceiling heights, you may want to avoid really tall plants or you have to be ready to spend a fair bit of time training it. you can always grow it bigger. unless it's an auto of course.
