What is this white cotton looking stuff on the stem of my plant ? Is it some type of mold?

Looks like it’s time for some preying mantises to be added onto your garden.

the little black ones on the right on the 3rd pic thrive where i live, i always get them outdoors, theyre aphids from blackflies, unless you are in a enclosed greenhouse you cannot stop the flying insect from reaching your plant. some plants are way more prone to than others so try to identify what plants to keep an eye on and check every day (if you can) under the leaves. remove those leaves and thats pretty much all you can do. any benefitial insect you introduce will only hang out for a while and eventually leave or die. good luck
